Next Pokemon Movie Revealed: Hoopa and the Clash of Ages

The next feature-length Pokemon movie was announced at Cannes this week, and as is the custom, it involves Ash and his present company encountering the latest legendary Pokemon from the newest game.

This time, Hoopa makes his long-awaited debut. Hoopa’s special ability, it turns out, is summoning things, including people and Pokemon, through the power of the hoops it wears. According to the official description from The Pokemon Company, “After a scary incident, they [Ash and friends] learn of a story about a brave hero who stopped the rampage of a terrifying Pokémon long ago. Now, the threat that has been bottled up for years is in danger of breaking loose again! Can Ash help his new friend overcome the darkness within…or will a dangerous secret erupt into a clash of legends?”

So far, no one on the Internet likes Hoopa’s dubbed voice. Hoopa DOES have two forms; maybe its evolved form will sound better? View the trailer below and judge for yourself.
