Several anime titles have been highly anticipated and fans have wondered how long a wait we will get for new seasons. This week, we have some answers as to when new seasons will be released. The two high profile titles of Dr. Stone and Kaiju No. 8 have release dates, but a few more under the radar series have also gotten release dates.

Dr. Stone‘s final season finally has a release date, but fans might be disappointed to learn that it’s not this year but next year. The season will be split into three cours (3 seasons) in 2025. Considering the last season ended in February 2024, this isn’t too bad a wait. Previous seasons streamed on Crunchyroll and this season is also confirmed for Crunchyroll.

Also debuting in 2025 is a new season of Kaiju No. 8. Season one ended just few short months ago so fans should be relieved that the show will only have a one year gap rather than the five year season gap some shows have. Before the season itself releases , there will be a compilation film released in Japanese theaters also in 2025 which will include a new episode entitled “Hoshina’s Day Off.” Here’s the trailer:

Season one streamed on Crunchyroll and season two is also confirmed to stream there as well.

Arifureta‘s third season will release October 14. Previous seasons streamed on Funimation, and this season is most likely bound for Crunchyroll after the shutdown of Funimation and the merger of Funimation and Crunchyroll.

Future Folktales season two will air in Japan this fall. Here is the trailer:

Season one streamed on Hidive and they may stream season two as well, although there has been no solid confirmation yet of a simulcast.

Technically, a second cour rather than a second season, Shibuya Love Hachi will have its second part release in October. The anime, created by the Shibuya City Tourism Association, streams on Youtube.

Any future season that you are particularly excited to see?
