My Hero Academia World Heroes Mission Gets New Trailer

My Hero Academia Movie, My Hero Academia World Heroes Mission

The My Hero Academia universe continues to grow, and in Japan, it’s about to grow in an even bigger way. As My Hero Academia World Heroes Mission is about to drop in a few weeks. This will be the first major motion picture for the anime, something that only a few in modern times have gotten (and even the team behind the series weren’t sure would happen).

In My Hero Academia World Heroes Mission, Deku, Bakugo, Shoto and many others in Class 1-A and 1-B at UA High are brought in to help with a mission of literal global proportions. Apparently, a cult-like group that believes in a “Quirk Doomsday Theory” is trying to bring the end of the world at an accelerated rate, and they’ll have to stop this group to save the world. However, that won’t be easy as the leader of this group and its followers are no pushovers, and as we see in the trailer, they even go and frame Deku for mass murder!

There’s a lot going on in the trailer to process, including a new character made for the movie (a trend from the last two movies) that will seemingly connect with Deku after the former saves him from cops.

In terms of timeline, this apparently is falling into the “Endeavor Agency Arc” that is going on right now in the anime, as we see the trio (the “Three Musketeers”) go and work for Endeavor and the No.1 hero himself shows up in many shots, alongside other mainline Pro-Heroes like Hawks and Gang Orca.

At present, the movie is set to arrive on August 6th, but that is just in Japan, there is no clear date for an English dub, and since VO work has been delayed due to the pandemic, many will likely have to wait for this to come out.
