Morbius Gets Final Trailer Ahead of April Release

There have been a lot of delays in the entertainment industry due to the global pandemic that is still very much going on right now. Arguably the biggest of all is that of Morbius. That’s because this movie was supposed to release in 2020, then it was delayed multiple times in 2021, and even now in 2022…it was delayed again. But now, April 1st (April Fool’s Day, how appropriate), the film is coming out, and with it being a month away, a new trailer has dropped for it.

This one seems to be very pointed in how it’s trying to depict things. In this case, we see multiple shots of Michael Morbius (played of course by Jared Leto) in his vampiric form and trying to survive, while also debating the cost of him being superhuman. All the while, being influenced by those around him, including his colleagues, his friends, and even Michael Keaton’s Vulture.

Check out the trailer below:

As you can see, the main struggle is that of Michael debating whether he should consume and “be the bad guy” or whether he should stop and just let fate take its course.

Of course, we already know the answer to that as the character is not only alive in the Marvel universe, but it’d be weird to kill off such a character when Sony is doing its best to expand its own Spider-Verse in order to match the success of Spider-Man No Way Home and Into The Spider-Verse.

Now, as for the ties to the MCU and with Venom, we know that the movie is in the same universe as Venom based on the previous trailers referencing the symbiote warrior. But as for the MCU in regards to Michael Keaton’s Vulture? That’s still very much up in the air.

We’ll find out one way or another on April 1st when it debuts on IMAX.
