It’s very fair to say that Death Battle over its 10-year history has had some WILD and wachy matchups. Koopa vs. Goomba (both of them), Justin Bieber vs. Jessica Black, Chuck Norris vs. Segata Sanshiro, and so on. But for its 150th Episode, the series has decided to go DEEP into the well of madness for a matchup often spoken of…but never thought to be done: Macho Man Vs Kool-Aid Man. OH YEAH!!!!
If you’re not familiar with this matchup concept, it’s honestly very simple. It has to do with the co-host of Death Battle in Chad James. In 2011 (the birth year of the show), he made a tweet called “Rejected Death Battle Ideas: Macho Man Vs Kool-Aid Man”. Because in the beginning, the series was only supposed to be 25 episodes long. But for the 125 episodes that followed, Chad kept bringing it up, and now, after 10 years, his wish has been fulfilled.
This battle is unlike any Death Battle before it, and for good reason. Because not only is there a fight (and there IS a winner), but there’s a lot of DB lore, including the revelation of the father…of Boomstick (voiced by Chad James).
So strap in for a wild ride and see how this battle goes…OOOOOOHHHHH YEEEEAAAAAHHH!!!!
As for next time on Death Battle, it’s a battle long teased by both fans and the show itself.
It’s Dio from Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, versus Alucard from Hellsing. This is a fight not just of vampires, but of ultimate characters who literally have the hardest time dying. Seriously, look them up, they just won’t freaking die.
