Good news if you are a Netflix junkie – Netflix and Sony made a deal that gives the popular streaming video company the rights to Sony’s animated films. Netflix users in the USA can already watch two of last year’s Sony release – “Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs 2” and “Smurfs 2” – but will have to wait until next year for “Hotel Transylvania 2” for Sony’s next animated feature film release.
Netflix has already secured streaming rights for Disney, DreamWorks Animation, and Pixar, leaving only Illumination Entertainment and Blue Sky as the only major studios without deals with Netflix.
