Jorge Gutierrez Tapped to Develop “LEGO Billion Brick Race” Spinoff

Variety reports that director Jorge Gutierrez (The Book of Life) is developing the LEGO Billion Brick Race spin-off for Warner Bros, which had previously been under development with Jason Segel and Drew Pearce. The project has not yet been greenlit, but fits into Warner Bros’ LEGO franchise alongside The LEGO Movie, The LEGO Batman Movie, and the upcoming LEGO Ninjago Movie. Billion Brick Race is being produced by Dan Lin, Phil Lord, Chris Miller and Roy Lee, with Chris McKay and Jill Wilfert of LEGO serving as executive producing
