Henshin Announces Animated Feature For Bandai Namco’s “Klonoa”

WA-HOO! American based production studio Henshin have announced that they have obtained the rights to produce an animated feature film based on the Bandai Namco game Klonoa: Door to Phantomile. A Playstation icon, the Klonoa series of games focus on the cat-like adventurer and his friends as they travel through dream realms fighting evil.

Henshin’s founder and producer Rob Pereyda comments “Klonoa is a late 90s video game icon, representing that special sense of hope and adventure we all collectively once had. We are honored to be entrusted by Bandai Namco with this franchise, and will work hard to do justice to the characters.” Pereyda formerly worked to reimagine Klonoa and other Bandai Namco stars via Shifty Look, a licensed web comics and animation project a few years ago. Hitoshi Ariga (Pokemon, Megaman) will co produce the film, in addition to penning an original script and serving as lead character designer.
