Vivienne Medrano, the creator of Hellva Boss, has announced that Helluva Boss will continue into 2024 with shorts and a trailer for the second part of season 2. Helluva Boss is a spin-off series of Hazbin Hotel, the smash hit series on Amazon Prime.

The Shorts:

These shorts will focus on smaller character stories rather than the overall plot focusing on the relationship between the imp assassin Blitzo and the demon nobleman Stolas. The first short, Hells Bells was released on Medrano’s YouTube channel on April 26, 2024. It focuses on the relationship between Millie, an assassin who works for Blitzo and her sister Sallie-May, who visits her in the big city for the first time. Further shorts will be released in between main episodes.

Trailer and Schedule:

Medrano has posted a trailer for Helluva Boss season 2, part 2, on her YouTube Channel as well, outlining what is to come in the last part of season 2.  The video outlines a schedule stating that new episodes will be released in May, June, October, November, and December of 2024. This trailer also outlines potential conflicts between Blitzo and Stolas and conflicts between Blitzo and his main employees, Moxxie and Millie. Hellva Boss season 2 will feature notable actors like Patrick Page, Harvey Guillén and John Waters.

Here’s the trailer for season 2 (be warned, it contains “not safe for work” material):

Helluva Boss’s Success:

Helluva Boss is one of the most successful independent animated series on YouTube, with several episodes getting millions of views. Helluva Boss was originally envisioned by Vivienne Medrano as something to engage her audience while she worked on the Hazbin Hotel show for A24.  However, Helluva Boss has gained its own following since the show’s pilot was released on November 25, 2019. In many ways, the success of Helluva Boss on YouTube heralded the success Hazbin Hotel would receive on Amazon Prime. I think it’s safe to say that Helluva Boss is an excellent example of the success some animation creators can find on YouTube. Hazbin Hotel features the voices of Brandon Rogers as Blitzo, Richard Steven Horvitz as Moxxie, Vivian Nixon as Millie, Erica Lindbeck as Loona and Bryce Pinkham as Stolas. Helluva Boss was created by Vivienne Medrano and Brandon Rogers.
