God Of War Ragnarok Gets Dramatic New Story Trailer

God Of War Ragnarok

God Of War Ragnarok is less than two months away from release, and fans have been chomping at the bit so much for this game that they’ve honestly been bugging Santa Monica Studios for months now asking for more updates and looks into the game! For the record, that’s not a good thing, and is not something to be encouraged, ok? Anyway, the release date is now set, and today during a special State of Play from Sony, we got a brand new story trailer that indicates just how grand and deep things are going to be second time around in the realm of Norse gods.

One of the big things to notice here is that there are a lot of new characters showing up in the game, including the Norse god of war whom Kratos and Artreus are trying to save, as well as Thor, Odin, the Fenrir wolves, and teases of so much more. This is going to be one of the toughest fights of Kratos life, not just because of the foes he faces, but because of his relationship with his son.

For as we now know, there are more things going on with Artreus than we realize, and he himself admits at the beginning of the trailer that there are secrets you have to keep from people in order to keep them safe.

Kratos meanwhile is focused solely on protecting his son, even stating that he doesn’t need protection because “Death can have me when it’s earned me.” Kratos is clearly determined to end things on his own terms, and to write his own destiny because he feels that this is the only way to live.

Santa Monica Studios is clearly going all out with God Of War Ragnarok, and it’ll be a blast to see how this game plays on PS5.
