When it comes to Dreamworks franchises, Gabby’s Dollhouse is one that definitely gets a lot of attention. Now the show will have a balloon at the 98th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, which is coming Thursday November 28, 2024. Here’s everything that you need to know.
First, let’s go over the show. Gabby’s Dollhouse is a preschool show produced by DreamWorks Animation Television that first came out on Netflix on January 5, 2021. The series is created by Traci Paige Johnson (known for working on the Blue’s Clues franchise) and Jennifer Twomey (known for working on Team Umizoomi). The show focuses on a young girl named Gabby (played by Laila Lockhart Kraner in both live action and animation) who’s really into cats. When touching the ears on her cat headband, she magically shrinks down and goes on all sorts of adventures with her cat friends in her dollhouse.
The announcement for the show’s presence at the parade first came out on October 30, 2024 on the Dreamworks Jr Twitter account, where it was announced by Laila Lockhart Kraner herself. As you can see by the picture, both Gabby and her friend Pandy Paws will be present.

One would wonder why the show would have a parade presence, but it actually makes sense. The show has consistently top viewership on Netflix to the point that it’ll have at least 100 episodes when it ends. Episodes uploaded to the Netflix Jr and Gabby And Friends YouTube channels easily get millions of views very quickly. The show has consistent presence in theme parks and on social media. The series will even be getting a theatrical movie in September 2025. This is definitely huge given how this will be the first Dreamworks television franchise to have a presence in the parade. This is something usually reserved for franchises that start out as movies, making this stand out even more.
And that’s all we know at the moment. Are you excited for the show’s presence at the parade? If you miss it, you can watch it next day on Peacock.
