Allright People, I got the DVD's about a week ago and I wanted to know if anyone else bought it.

Well all episodes are great, this show was great. I want the second and third seasons. The pilot episode i havent fully seen it, because i was falling asleep on the couch(I saw this after finishing all DVD's which it took me about a week.) But it was annoying listening to Lynda carter and the Producer comment on everything on the episode.
But anythin else is great. It's worth the $39.99 (I bought it at Suncoast.) In amazon costs cheaper, if only i would've known before.:(

Anyway, this brought a lot of memories of when i was a kid, when i sat down on Saturday afternoons to watch it spanish dubbed. too bad the DVD's din't lnclude the spanish dub.:(
I also started to watch it when Sci-fi channel showed it on Weekdays mornings.(I think it was sci-fi)

I picked up mine at Suncoast during the first week when it was still on sale for about $33.99.

So far I've watched the Pilot with and w/o commentary, the featurette and the first 4 episodes, and I think the show looks great.

I found both the commentary and featurette to be interesting, for one I never knew about the bracelets, and the trigger for the sparks in her fists. I guess my eyes were looking elsewhere.

I'm looking forward to Season 2 & 3.

i'm very interested in this set, but as someone who never watched it (so no nostalgia factor) and not a big WW fan, how fun would this show be for me?

like i said i'm interested in getting to know more about WW and this set seems like a good way, how exactly is it? is it campy like 60s Batman? i'm just wondering what i should expect.

I picked up season 1 & 2 during Target's sale. Just finished watching season 1. The show falls a bit on the campy side, although not nearly as campy as the 60's Batman series. I never really watched the TV show but I have read a fair number of WW comics. Looking at the 1st season, I think the show needed some better villains. Like Cheetah or Circe from the comic series. However, if you can still find a set in the $20 price range (I think deepdiscountdvd has them), I'd say it's worth it. At that price, you really can't go wrong...since it's Lynda Carter we're talking about here.

Overall, the show was pretty faithful to the comics. There have been a few background details and names that have been altered here and there, but I think all the vital elements are there. Season 1 is even set during the World War II era, which mirrors the early comics nicely. One difference is that most of the TV storylines revolve around Wonder Woman's missions working with the US government, while the comics show more of the Amazon warrior side of her character. Basically, the TV show is more typical superhero stuff fighting crooks & terrorists. In the comics, you see her fighting mythical beasts as well as the influence of the Greek Gods.

I think I'm going to pass on the series. There's only so much time in my life that I want to spend in front of my television, and since this show didn't really deliver much beyond the asethic of Lynda Carter as Wonder Woman, in terms of what I enjoy about the character and her history, I don't see the need to buy any of the seasons.
