Why most of the recent cartoons by Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon et alibi are the creators' semi-autobiographies?

Suddenly, I am somehow feeling that most of the recent cartoons by Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon et alibi are the creators' semi-autobiographies. The heroine of Infinity Train, for example, hails from Minnesota and it's created by a native of the said state (Owen Dennis). Is this a coincidence or what?

Storytellers and writers often use their own real life and experiences as reference for framing their story. It's an important tip to know when your writing. As the above said, write what you know.

I think most people are very upset and lamenting the fact that Nickelodeon (NOT including preschool shows nor nick@nite) aren't having regular new episodes since after Transformers: EarthSpark finished the season.
