Adult Swim or Toonami never shown music videos before. I want the block to have a mini MTV. A good idea for Adult Swim to do an anthology show a la Night Flight or Liquid Television. It can be different styles from different animators. When will they do one?

well, there's was toonami special edition which aired animated music videos from gorillaz, daft punk and there's was this one cartoon music video done by mark Osbourne (later become a director for kung fu panda and the upcoming escape from hat film and bones cartoon):

The thing of it is, shows like MTV's Liquid Television and program blocks like Night Flight thrived in the late 1980s to early 1990s, back when YouTube was a toddler. The internet going mainstream pretty much eliminated the need for 24/7 music video channels and blocks. Even MTV shows more general prgramming than music videos nowadays. There have been some more recent attempts at animated anthology shorts such as Triptank on Comedy Central, which lasted for 2 seasons, but overall, we probably won't see a resurgence of this kind of programming now that the internet has gone mainstream.

As with any sort of program, Adult Swim would make an animated anthology show if the people in charge thought that doing so would benefit the block financially.

I was hoping they can revive it.

[adult swim] doesn't need to transform itself into retro MTV just to launch this adult animated anthology show that you want to see so badly; they could just launch a show like that if they so chose to. And no one here can tell you when (or if) they're ever going to do that since no one here works for [adult swim] or is privy to what they have planned coming down the pike.

In the meantime, why not check out Love Death + Robots on Netflix or one of the many animated shorts channels available on YouTube to scratch this itch?

Okay. How do I get existing animated shorts from YouTube to make it into a movie?
