That may be about to change! News broke this morning that Paramount Game Studios and Saber Interactive are teaming up to create a AAA action RPG set in the Avatar world. It’ll be the most ambitious Avatar game ever, made in close cooperation with DiMartino and Konietzko’s Avatar Studios to ensure quality.
You will not be controlling Aang or Korra, or anyone else Avatar Studios might be planning to make a movie from. Instead the game will take place thousands of years in the past, in an area neither show or any spinoff content has revealed before, where you’ll be an Avatar unique to the game. Specific details on what you’ll be doing are light, but the developers say that “players can expect to be immersed in a vibrant world, master all four elements, [and] engage in dynamic combat alongside companions.”"
