Having done a rewatch of the Sony Zorro duology recently, I don't think The Legend of Zorro is a bad film at all.
I remember the hype over the first one and I was so disappointed. Great ideas, great visuals, poor execution.
Well, it's overrated. I'll give you that.
I'm not exactly excited about them but I'm curious, and I think people who are dismissing it as Cameron's folly should give pause given that he has, twice, made hugely expensive films that were dismissed before going on to become the highest grossing film of all time.
Quite right and it's worth knowing that Cameron's Avatar follow up Alita: Battle Angel (which he wrote and produced than directed it since it was directed by Robert Rodriguez) is more popular with his fanbase and that they would rather want a sequel to Alita than a sequel to Avatar.
Both of those two movies were also pretty revolutionary whilst capping off their respective decades. With Avatar, it was apparently a technical feat in filmmaking that people believe have yet to be surpassed in the booming blockbuster market. Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets is the new benchmark.
I thought it was already surpassed by the recent MCU films, especially with the motion capture aspect for Infinity War and Endgame.

I like a well-kept mustache. I think that is more of an unpopular opinion than disliking it. (Perhaps not in Latin America) I can't stand how any mustache nowadays is called a porn stache or a pedophile stache (Dutch pedosnor). Is anyone aware how rude that term is?

I'm still perfectly happy watching DVDs. Blu-rays are certainly better than DVDs, but in no way is it comparable to the jump from VHS to DVD. I don't\wouldn't bother upgrading my favourite films from DVD to Blu-ray unless they have great new special features or are really cheap. I keep seeing people saying they just can't bring themselves to watch any of their DVD collection any more and I just can't relate. A poster on another forum said they wouldn't buy a cartoon collection (I think it was Porky 101) because it was only on DVD, and that might as well be a VHS release. To me, that's mad.

Those are mostly close-up face shots. The MCU just like Avatar still have that floaty head weirdness. If anything I'd say the Disney animal movies or the Ape prequels or Kong have the best as far as motion capture / fully animated rigs, but Valerian is truly an all around project for vfx feats.

I dislike all mustaches, beards, and facial hair. I shave religiously.
Is it me or is there this weird trend around young men that they sport these long, unkempt beards?
I've seen a lot of trends in my life but this one is the weirdest.

I, like fonebone, take great pride in keeping my face clean shaven and my hair very short.
(Probably a reaction to the way I was when I was younger -- at the age of 20 I had my hair down to my waist!
I wanted to be Jimmy Page or Chris Cornell or something like that :( )

Personally, I think The Sorcerer's Apprentice is one of the most overlooked Disney live-action films.

Well, I wouldn't say that the MCU haven't improved in terms of motion captures because I think they have and also, Valerian's budget was big, yes but Endgame's budget was much larger.

It's about how that budget is used in regards to vfx. I don't think even Aquaman hits the consistent highs of Valerian.

I think cable and streaming should coexist each other instead of sabotaging one another. Cable can still exist for new content (although some of the channels are useless nowadays like Universal Kids, Discovery Kids, LOGO, CMT, etc.), and streaming can still exist for old shows that aren't airing on TV (and I'm still mixed on the idea of streaming services having originals).

I always thought Trace were the wrong company to buy the Chart Show channels, especially with their recent handling.

I know but I believe there are films that have had better VFX than Valerian.

Other way around. Cable/broadcast is at its peak for channel flipping thus great for live content and reruns. Pluto TV as a streaming service understands that superbly.
Other streaming should be targeted old programming and originals, but they need to stop with the same day release for an entire season unless the show itself is in fact paced like one long movie. Otherwise, you're having people binge watch the slowest soap operas.

- I hate datamosh.

- Rayman 1 is the weakest of the mainline Rayman games.

- What’s the general reception of the GameCube controller? Cause the placement and sizes of the ABYZ buttons and C-Stick are not very good choices in my thoughts.

I feel like Disney's live-action Mulan remake should've followed what Warner Bros. is doing with Tenet since I'm not happy with their decision, especially the high PVOD cost and no, I don't think they're going to do the same with The New Mutants, Soul and Black Widow.

Both "Le Corn Maze Of Doom" and "Too Cute To Spook" are tied with 1 vote each. I'll be tiebreaker. I pick "Too Cute To Spook" to move on. The next matchup is between the Elena Of Avalor episode "The Return Of El Capitan" and the Vampirina episode "Dia De Los Muertos".
