Yeah, I can see Ufotable fitting in some of Saber's character development from the Fate route so that her character arc from Zero will get a conclusion and, despite not being the Main Heroine or Shirou's love interest, so that she'll still get a decent amount of focus in the anime :).

I wonder if that might also somewhat extend to Illya as well? Especially considering her ultimate fate in UBW .

There's no way to tell as of now. Ilya doesn't get a lot of focus in UBW, so it'd be hard for the staff to pack in some Ilya-centric stuff to give her a proper conclusion, unless they were to make serious alterations to the UBW story which is something I'm suspecting they will do. At least in Saber's case they can rearrange her character development around various UBW events because Saber's always in the middle of the action even though she isn't the "focus" character like Rin is.

But I am not sure that this UBW adaptation will be as "straight" as people assume it will be. They can't do a straight adaptation, none of the Fate storylines are long enough to support 24-26 episodes. There will be alterations made, and as the Heaven's Feel movie is being produced I think that while UBW will be the "main" route, they will fit in as much of the Fate route as they can (both for padding and to give Saber a proper conclusion) and also throw a original spin onto things to make everything work. What that means for Saber and Ilya I don't know, but I don't think either character will conclude this adaptation of UBW the way their paths concluded in the game or in the DEEN adaptation.

It's sort of like the way the official Fate/stay night manga is handled. The UBW route is the base but the manga carefully fits in elements of the other routes and also has its own original direction that makes the manga unique in its own way. While I don't think this anime will adapt the manga one iota, I think the same principle will apply here.

Illya is one of my favorite characters. She and Berserker make such an odd pair at first glance

"“Fate” News Roundup: “Heaven’s Feel” Finally On Streaming And “Unlimited Blade Works” Coming To Cable"

maxresdefault-3.jpg

"Aniplex of America just dropped major pieces of anime news related to the massively popular “Fate” franchise. US fans have been clamoring for a streaming release for the Heaven’s Feel movie trilogy. Although it is available on digital stores, it has been missing from major streaming services. But now the official “Fate/Stay Night” X profile (formerly Twitter) just confirmed that the “Heaven’s Feel” trilogy will finally come to Hulu and Crunchyroll on December 19th.

But wait, there’s more! We are also getting a cable premiere of the 2014 Ufotable classic Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works.

Interesting to note that Aniplex stated it will be a cable premiere without specifying WHERE on cable. Ever since Chiller’s obscure short lived anime block shut down, Adult Swim ‘s Toonami block has been the only cable network to air an anime block. Are we going to see a surprise competitor to Toonami emerge? Or maybe it is indeed airing Toonami? We’ll get more clarity eventually."

Happy 15th birthday to Angry Birds, 20th anniversary to the PlayStation Portable tomorrow, and 14th birthday to Angry Birds' PSP port on January 4th!
wow, only a couple weeks until Christmas already. this year has gone by so fast.
My Spanish final grade is being calculated RN. Keep in mind, most of my tests I didn't do good on. One test I got a 49, and on the latest test the score hasn't come in yet so it's in the placeholder grade of a 0, and right now that zero currently counts towards the calculations.

All that said, my current grade- zero test included- is a 90.41%. An A.

Well, I still would like to see Netflix do more with the "three episodes per week" format after Arcane. The final arc of The Dragon Prince could ultilise this, should it be greenlit after the upcoming release of Book Seven: Dark in eight days' time.
Would love to see Five Guys open a restaurant in Portugal one day.
