I was only familiar with a fourth of their shows.
Shows that some Toonzone members might like are bolded. I don't like any of these, to be honest.

They air a movie during weekends at 8pm.

Genius Brands shows are crap. Glad EAH is there, I guess.

Pretty cool they have all these channels that air animation.

So, I take it this is an all-animation channel?
Shouldn't this be in The toonzone board?

First time I've ever been happy to see a Canadian broadcaster not run anime before.

It'll be incredibly tough for an indie player in a congested kids space to get carriage outside of Eastlink. Especially with this programming lineup ...

What's wrong with them having anime? Also, YTV and Nick Canada don't have any

I'd be interested in seeing anime on Canadian TV, which is why I wouldn't be too pleased if we got it on a channel that's only available on 1 cable carrier in a less populated part of the country.

Most of the content here is mainly Canadian. I guess Toon-A-Vision exceeds the CanCon quota of most other channels.

When I saw activity here, I thought the channel closed down or something after a year due to lack of carriage. This is surprising.

Toon-a-vision has picked up the rights to Paw Patrol. I thought rights for this show would be locked with other broadcasters? Fairly big show to get the rights to? https://m.facebook.com/ToonAvision/

It is a pretty big show for an unknown channel. PAW Patrol actually has no national broadcaster in Canada. It airs across a handful of regional channels. It's possible they got second window (they're starting from season 1) national rights or they've given up on getting carriage beyond the Maritimes and grabbed local rights.

Paw Patrol is a TVOntario original series. What channels is it on for the rest of Canada to see? TVOntario is just available in Ontario or is it also available nationally?

Outside of ToonAVision, PAW Patrol airs on Knowledge (British Columbia), City TV Saskatchewan (Saskatchewan), TV Ontario (Ontario) and Tele-Quebec (Quebec). The latter airs it in French.

TVO is carried on some pay-TV operators outside of Ontario, but it's not a common channel. It's licensed to specifically air just in that province.
