I have to say the musical theme especially at the end actually saying the four's name is really cool. And major props for them actually SHOWING Galactus like I'm sure Marvel knows how ticked off a lot of the fans of the character were from the 2007 Silver Surfer movie that showed him as a freaking cloud so wanted to make clear here "oh no we're NOT going to be ashamed of showcasing this kind of character you want Galactus here's Galactus." I think the Ben bit though kind of charming will play better in the actual movie then you know a teaser for it and I will give props on so far Vanessa Kirby easily being the best Invisible Woman we've seen. Like Jessica Alba felt a lot of the time there because of her looks and felt more obsessed with wanting a marriage or to be normal in a whiny tone and like Kate Mara played her take on Sue too distant and bitter while the speech she gives to Reed here feels more like her. And you can really tell this has a different feel from Brave New World and Thunderbolts off the bat which it should so yeah solid teaser. Obviously the actual trailer will give us more the deal of this story but for a first showcase this worked well.

I don't think I've ever heard Pedro Pascal do that kind of voice like he's using for Reed o_O.

See the various hairstyles as Sue Storm as she does her best as the emotional heart of the FF :anime:!

HERBIE makes his movie debut .

The voice for Ben sounds great, and he looks the most comic-accurate he's ever looked (even in civvies!) though the CG still feels less natural compared to Chiklis' Ben .

I'm a little disappointed we didn't hear a "Flame On!" when Johnny transformed :p.

And there's Galactus! For real this time ;).

The suits are starting to win me over :).

FANTASTIC FOUUURRRRR....oh, I'm loving that :D!

Yeah this does look fantastic (say that again?) loving the way the thing looks and the flame effects are on point also sue looking good. I do wish we kinda saw Reed stretch powers but the cgi probably needs more tuning or maybe it fits with the story. I’m also glad they didn’t reveal too much and the little tease of Galactus looks great but for anyone complaining that he’s too small you do know he can shrink right? (Seriously read the comics or at least have knowledge of them before complaining) also red ghost (the thing vs a gorilla?) overall this is looking great while I’m probably a bit more excited for Superman this & Superman definitely can start a renaissance for both the MCU & DCU hopefully

"Fantastic Four Takes Its First Steps In Its First Trailer"

fffsteps.jpg

"First introduced in 1961, the Fantastic Four are the foundation for the Marvel Universe as we know it. So why’d it take until now for them to enter the cinematic equivalent? You might guess rights issues, and you’d be correct…this is far from the first F4 movie adaption. Marvel’s First Family has been tossed around to various producers and studios with varying results…usually forgettable, occasionally Corman Campy.

Now that Marvel has the rights back, they can’t afford to screw up the “official” version. Since the moviegoing public has seen a basic adaption already, they’re mixing it up. This story takes place in the past…what appears to be the 1950s or early 60s; perhaps the time of the original comic book. The trailer suggests we might join the Fantastic Four at the point where they’re already superheroes and Reed and Sue have married, and see their origin in flashback. And though Galactus is the villain again, his herald is different…Shalla-Bal instead of the Silver Surfer.

The Fantastic Four consists of: Reed Richards, a genius scientist with graying hair and the ability to stretch his body to wacky proportions (also, he’s a bit arrogant sometimes). Sue Storm (sometimes Sue Richards), blessed with the gift of energy shields and invisibility. Sue’s brother Johnny Storm, a literal hothead who cam become a flying man of fire at will. And the Clobberin’ One himself, The Thing, aka Ben Grimm, a nigh-indestructible man of rock."

2/4: The teaser did its job and showed off the aesthetics of the movie and wow!!! HERBIE looked amazing. F4 suits looked great, sometimes simplicity works better, I love these more than the version in Strange 2. We got a glimpse of Galactus.

VFX very likely not 100% done so not shocked we didn't see everything like stretching or Silver Surfer etc. It was a teaser that teased well.

Full trailer probably at Wondercon since March/April is the midpoint btw now and July.

2/5: An insider claims the 5th Dimension will be in it and Galactus wants Franklin to help rebuild his old universe.

Some viewership data for the trailer.

Marvel has a summer box office hit on their hands with the upcoming The Fantastic Four: First Steps, which saw its trailer in its first 24 hours clear 202 million views across all platforms after dropping on Tuesday.

That’s the third-best first-day traffic for a Marvel Studios movie’s first trailer after Deadpool & Wolverine (365M) and Spider-Man: No Way Home (355M). That said, it’s the best Marvel Studios has ever seen in traffic for a non-sequel movie.

Glad to see positive hype for the FF again :).

Come back! I'd like to see you cover Cartoon Network and other Nordic channels too, especially from a Scandinavian (and Danish) perspective!
A childhood staple of mine (or atleast very early on) was Cartoon Network Too, it was a network that introduced me to alot of the Cartoon Cartoons staples that formed the early days of CN, although it's schedule did get sour till the end (I remember the Cartoon Cartoons block having Skatoony, Billy and Mandy and Ben 10) by the end, it was still a network I watched.
Good Ol' Charlie Brown, from the DC and Marvel Universes.

Happy 85th anniversary to the Disney classic Pinocchio!
