The Boondocks Gets 2 New Seasons on HBO Max

Via The Hollywood Reporter, The Boondocks which had previously aired on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim has been revived on HBO Max via WarnerMedia for 2 seasons consisting a total of 24 episodes.  HBO Max is WarnerMedia’s new streaming service set to launch in spring of 2020.  The Boondocks will start streaming in fall of 2020 starting with a 50 minute special, and all previous episodes will be available when HBO Max launches.
Boondocks‘ creator Aaron McGruder will return as the showrunner for the new seasons as well as executive produce the series.  From McGruder himself via The Hollywood Reporter:

I don't know about you, but I'd think it would be best if WarnerMedia rebrand TruTV and make Adult Swim a 24-Hour channel, and make Cartoon Network a 24-Hour channel again, but that's just wishful thinking.
