"SEGA’s Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio, the team behind the Yakuza/Like a Dragon and Virtua Fighter game series, has revealed the name of the studio’s next original title. Originally announced at The Game Awards 2024 as “Project Century”, the game’s title was offically revealed yesterday during Summer Game Fest 2025 as “Stranger Than Heaven” and during the show, attendees and fans were given another glimpse of the game after its highly anticipated announcement last year. While the previous announcement trailer was set in 1915, the newest trailer is set in 1943, which leads to some interesting questions: Does the game jump back and forth between the two time periods, does the game start in 1915 and feature a 2nd half in 1943, and is there other time periods yet to be revealed?
