Comic legend Stan Lee has been rushed to the hospital this evening after experiencing shortness of breath and an irregular heartbeat.

According to TMZ, the 95 year old Lee is at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles in stable condition. Representatives for Lee have not yet offered a comment on the situation.

Lee has had to cancel a number of appearances due to illness in recent years. He was forced to cancel two appearances in 2012, one in 2015 the day before the red carpet premiere of Ant-Man and two more this past year at Big Apple Con and Salt Lake City Comic Con.

We'll be sure to get updates up as soon as they're available.

Update: A rep for Mr. Lee has issued a statement on his condition saying: "Stan is doing well and feeling good," the rep said in a statement. "He is staying there for a few days for some check-ups as a safety precaution."

No further information is available at this time.

Get well soon, Mr. Lee!

Oh, crap. I'm a mess right now. Something in the Politics thread triggered me big time and I'm having flashbacks and bad thoughts. I hope the thread is closed. It's bringing out the worst in otherwise decent people.
