The News Team's Magmaster12 has a new review up on the front page of AnimeSuperhero.com:

"Review: Sensational She-Hulk: A “Slice of Life” Marvel Comic Series"

she-hulk-1-cover.webp

"Last month marked the end of Rainbow Rowell’s 25-issue run of the Jade Giantess herself: She-Hulk. Starting in January 2022 (under the name “She-Hulk”, later restarted and renamed “Sensational She-Hulk”), the series was meant to coincide with the 2022 Disney+ series. For this newest run, we finally get a return to the old comic book status quo. The last two years of She-Hulk under Rowell have proven quite a contrast from Mariko Tomaki’s previous run, which was more of a physiological thriller, and prior to that we had Charles Soule’s run, which gave priority to the legal side of She-Hulk as she started her own firm.

Instead, this most recent run by Rowell is more of a continuation of where Dan Slott’s run left off back in the 2000’s (which is arguably She-Hulk’s most iconic run in the comic series, and the major influence in the live action Disney+ series). Jennifer returns to working at a law firm under Mallory Book, her old rival/boss. We even get a continuation of Mallory’s romantic storyline, with her resuming her relationship with Awesome Andy."

I enjoyed Rowell's turn on Runaways (despite the frustrating sequel tease ending), so I checked out her She-Hulk run. I thought it was all right. I don't think I liked it as much as that series, but it filled a niche I didn't know I needed filled as more slice-of-life comic that had some comedy, some romance, and some action. The slower pacing worked here in a way it didn't work with Runaways. I'll also appreciate that it brought back Jennifer to her more fun-loving self and some of the fun ideas it brought to the table like the fight club.

I also appreciated the reunion with Genolet later in the series.

I am incapable of binge watching. I won't do it. Unfortunately, many shows on streaming are made to be binged.
It's a shame what has happened to the Internet Archive. Tons of lost media and pieces of history might be gone forever if the site isn't back up.
