Helen Mirren joins the cast as a villain - Hespera, daughter of Atlas and apparently sister of Rachel Zegler's character.

I mean, you can't beat Helen Mirren, but it's kind of weird that we're not focusing on an actual Captain Marvel villain.

I mean, daughter of Atlas, shouldn't Wonder Woman be involved in this ?

Cool. Secretly been waiting years to see if she'd be in a CBM. I know she did that one with Bruce Willis, but that was a graphic novel.

And she was in one or two of the The Fast and The Furious movies I think so seems like a natural progression. But still, these new characters are throwing me off.

Yeah, I'm not exactly keen on too many heroes with mythological backgrounds. They end up becoming a contrast to each other. Right now it looks that way for SHAZAM, Black Adam, and Wonder Woman.

On the surface, it's kind of intriguing I admit. While Ares killed the other Greek gods (and Zeus died of his wounds and creating his failsafes), he didn't bother to wipe out the Titans?

I'll just say I hope somebody's paying close attention in WB. We don't need another X-men-like continuity (in which none of it made sense by the end).

The only real costume updated I'd like to see is the classic clap cape, but I think that's probably not happening .

I have a feeling that was all part of the plan. I think they held back Shazam until Black Adam was ready.
