R.I.P. to Australian animator Ron Campbell, aged 81, best known for his work on both animated productions involving the Beatles- the ABC SatAM series and Yellow Submarine.
Al Brodax, who produced both Beatles projects, also had Campbell on board for Krazy Kat, Beetle Bailey and Cool McCool. Campbell later worked for Hanna-Barbera, animating for shows such as The Flintstones, The Jetsons, Scooby-Doo and The Smurfs. His later credentials include Ducktales, The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Rugrats, Duckman, Rocket Power, and Ed, Edd n Eddy. His last known work was on Ed, Edd n Eddy's Big Picture Show.
Brodax also had his own film company, Ron Campbell Films, Inc., working on the educational series The Big Blue Marble and Sesame Street as well as Nanny and the Professor.
