the pbs kids channel should also consider airing more older stuff (sans Mr. Rogers & Sesame Street) like Between the Lions, Sagwa the Chinese Siamese Cat, Anne of Green Gables (the cartoon), Liberty's Kids, Maya & Miguel, Reading Rainbow, Teletubbies, Postcards From Buster, The Noddy Shop, Boohbah, & so on.Mister Rogers gone from the schedule so soon?
That's sad, because it's one of the greatest PBS Kids shows ever made (second being classic Sesame Street), that even today's viewers should watch!
Maybe the show would've stayed on longer if they put it on weekdays and/or just later in the day?
Is it another case of "this show is old, and I don't think many are watching, so let's remove it"?
I do not understand why they decided to remove it so soon.
I know streaming is still an option, but unfortunately, the frame rate is cut in half there (and is also why many of the PBS Kids shows appear jittery on streaming and on recent DVDs. Wondering why PBS hasn't fixed that, considering they promote that their shows are streaming).
That said, watching it on TV is the true experience for me (and hopefully my main PBS station continues to air it when the schedule change occurs).
Yeah, we get it. I think we already know the chances of that happening though.the pbs kids channel should also consider airing more older stuff (sans Mr. Rogers & Sesame Street) like Between the Lions, Sagwa the Chinese Siamese Cat, Anne of Green Gables (the cartoon), Liberty's Kids, Maya & Miguel, Reading Rainbow, Teletubbies, Postcards From Buster, The Noddy Shop, Boohbah, & so on.
kinda...i tried to find a email, & so on to request ur pbs station to air a specific show, but it was kinda complicated.Yeah, we get it. I think we already know the chances of that happening though.
Have you ever contacted your PBS station about re-airing some of those shows?
If so, I'm curious as to how that went.
