I'm kind of surprised that they just announced this out of the blue. I'm glad that they confirmed that it will be backwards compatible with the Switch and it makes sense given how successful the console is. I just would have expected them to save that detail for the proper reveal instead of right now.

"Backwards Compatibility Finally Confirmed For Switch 2"

gwgj6nrx.jpg

"Nintendo still isn’t ready to reveal the Switch 2, but they did finally confirm one major detail everyone has been wondering about. The news was delivered by Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa online late yesterday evening.

“This is Furukawa,” he tweeted, “At today’s Corporate Management Policy Briefing, we announced that Nintendo Switch software will also be playable on the successor to Nintendo Switch.” Can’t get clearer than that. You won’t have to start your physical collection over again.

There was more: “Nintendo Switch Online will be available on the successor to Nintendo Switch as well. Further information about the successor to Nintendo Switch, including its compatibility with Nintendo Switch, will be announced at a later date.”

While backwards compatibility on Switch 2 has been assumed for a while, no one knew for certain what would happen with Nintendo Switch Online. Since this is Nintendo we’re dealing with, they could have just started the library over and drip-fed the same games starting day 1. It’s fortunate we’re being spared that."

As much as fans want to hear about the new system, the Switch is still huge, so I doubt that Nintendo is in any rush, especially when they can use that time to have more games available at launch too.

They're also obviously clearly traumatized by the transition from the Wii to the Wii U, so there's no doubt intense pressure to get it right.

Happy 15th birthday to Angry Birds, 20th anniversary to the PlayStation Portable tomorrow, and 14th birthday to Angry Birds' PSP port on January 4th!
wow, only a couple weeks until Christmas already. this year has gone by so fast.
My Spanish final grade is being calculated RN. Keep in mind, most of my tests I didn't do good on. One test I got a 49, and on the latest test the score hasn't come in yet so it's in the placeholder grade of a 0, and right now that zero currently counts towards the calculations.

All that said, my current grade- zero test included- is a 90.41%. An A.

Well, I still would like to see Netflix do more with the "three episodes per week" format after Arcane. The final arc of The Dragon Prince could ultilise this, should it be greenlit after the upcoming release of Book Seven: Dark in eight days' time.
