I emailed last night a rep from Nickelodeon and she said this about the site.

Nicktoons’ website was shut down and most of the content was moved to the Nick.com site.
Moving forward any new series coming to the network will now live in the Nick.com site.

So guys nicktoons channel is here to stay!!

Also she said this out of the blue after asking her about this in September 2015! She got back with a surprise good answer and said.

And it’s official ARC-V is launching on Nicktoons on 02/21.

Teaser trailer will go out on MLK Day.

Yu-Gi-Oh ARC-V will premiere on Nicktoons on 2/21/16!

About time. I'm glad though; America is soooo behind Japan, but NickToons is good at doing weekday premieres. We'll catch up faster that way!

Considering how they've treated DM/ZEXAL for the past 3 years, I'm not holding my breath that much.

I'm genuinely shocked that the dub is going on air on Nicktoons after all. I was so sure that it wasn't going to happen after how they treated the Zexal dub and never even finished airing it. I thought that they'd just give up and put it on their website or just put it on Netflix if they really couldn't get another channel to air it. Maybe 4K Media was able to make some deal with Nicktoons to keep airing Arc-V, even though they clearly had no interest in anything related to Yu-Gi-Oh! in ages.

It's still pretty telling that the dub has been airing in other countries since last summer and it took nearly a year for the U.S. to finally have a premiere date. I'm pretty sure other countries will be done airing the first season by the time the U.S. actually starts, which is just sad. On the bright side, that does make it easier for them to give the series a weekday slot since at least the first season is already dubbed and ready to air at this point. I wouldn't be surprised if Arc-V is mistreated by Nicktoons though. They've never had a good history with their third party shows.

Even though I'm not thrilled with the dub's quality from what I've heard of it, I'd be ready to make a season one talkback thread for the show when it starts. I'm not sure if discussion would be frequent enough to warrant weekly talkback threads and there is a possibility it will have a weekday slot too. Arc-V is still my favorite series in the franchise and I'd highly recommend people to check it out. It's really good and I love it immensely.

Can you ask her if Nicktoons' HD feed is coming to Optimum/Cablevision anytime soon?
And Cox Communications as well?

I haven't watched Yu-Gi-Oh in years, but based on what people are saying about Arc V, I might check it out.

They've never had a good history with their third party shows.
I wonder why the exclusive shows don't get good treatment because they're new and Nicktoons is ad-supported. If only Nick cared about the channel; they already have an advantage because Disney XD doesn't air much anime or older cartoons.

Obviously you haven't seen DXD's new acquisition, Yo-Kai Watch.

I really hope when this airs on Nicktoons it will not take breaks except holidays and add new episodes weekly. I Hope 4K Media really really added strict contract negotiations so it can stay on the air and have new episodes weekly. :) Comon 4K media don't let us down with nick.

Yeah, I really doubt that they're going to treat Arc-V significantly better. They never finished airing Zexal and they have a bad history with third party titles in general. I really doubt that 4K Media were in the position to add strict contract negotiations with Nicktoons. If we're lucky, maybe they'll give it a weekday slot to get through the first season at least, but I wouldn't be surprised if they kept it on weekends too. I believe February 21st is a Sunday and they kept Zexal premieres on weekends even after the CW wasn't required to air premiere episodes anymore. They are going to take breaks more frequently than just holidays too. That's practically a guarantee.

Im sorry for being the debbie downer, but are we sure we can trust this? I dont think anyone would reveal stuff this easily and upset any NDAs.

Also, if they delay this like they did the original DM, they're gonna get TWO middle fingers from me. That and the fact that Yu-Gi-Oh! is already dying as an anime franchise wouldn't make it any better.

But it was always meant to air there. Saban promoted it as being on three channels Nick, Nicktoons, and Vortexx. And look how that turned out.

Honestly, I don't think it was a good idea to reveal this before Nicktoons anyway. Even if it really was from an email, spreading it all over the Internet like wildfire seemed like a bad idea, if only because there's nothing else to back it up other than this email that no one else has seen. It probably is true, but I don't feel comfortable with how it was spread mainly due to how revealing this information too early could upset people at Nicktoons.

They probably won't delay it, but don't be too upset if they start going into reruns soon. I wouldn't say that Yu-Gi-Oh! is dying as an anime franchise. It clearly isn't doing that well in the U.S. at least, but it's doing fine in Japan, which probably counts more than how it does elsewhere. Not to mention the card sales count even more given that the spin-off series exist primarily to promote them.

I understand that the anime isn't anywhere near its prime, but that's no reason to be constantly spouting doom and gloom about the franchise. I thought that you'd be happy about it airing on Nicktoons since you were so adamantly sure that the Arc-V dub would never air on TV, but you're not. It feels more and more like an over exaggeration more than anything else, especially when you keep claiming things like that it is dying as an anime franchise when that is simply not true.

NOT saying I'm not happy; I'm just surprised they're actually airing it, but like I said, we'll have to keep a close eye on how they'll handle its scheduling, especially since what happened back in May.

If Arc-V is coming, call me crazy, but I think it will be treated better than the other incarnations.

If you think about it, Arc-V is a fresher show unlike the others when they premiered on Nicktoons.

But if it's treated bad I won't care, I don't watch Yu-Gi-Oh! in general anyways.

I couldn't get that impression since you keep spouting doom and gloom about the anime whenever it comes up. While delaying DM reruns was pretty bad, I don't think that's the worse thing about how Nicktoons has handled Yu-Gi-Oh! series. Those were reruns and DM definitely didn't need more exposure. The way they treated Zexal is a much bigger red flag. At that time, Zexal was the newest series in the franchise, it had episodes that never aired outside of the CW or on TV and they still treated it like dirt. That doesn't bold that well for Arc-V.

I wouldn't mind that. At least the series could get as much exposure off of Nicktoons as it can. I'm just not sure about that given their history. I'd be fine with being wrong though. I'm just waiting for that legal sub announcement from Crunchyroll. That would make me way more excited than the dub at this point.

For some reason, FOP Season 9 isn't airing in letterbox on the SD feed right now.

Does anybody know if it airs in HD on the HD feed?
