The only good plot this could possibly have is that all the characters from cancelled nicktoons get thrown away into a wasteland and they decide to escape and get their shows back.

I mentioned this in the Nickelodeon revival thread but I'm not sure that the source of this is credible. Anyone know of this Tracking Board place? All of the links in the article are just tags on the site and the script they purport to have is behind a paywall...

If it is actually happening though I'd like to know how that's going to work. I can't really see myself being super interested in it if they're going to try pulling a Space Jam/Looney Toons Back In Action or something but if they played it smart and/or hired some decent writers I'd be somewhat intrigued.

The idea of this sounds really cool to me, like REALLY cool...but first of all, is this definitely happening, and secondly, what would the plot be like?

Either way, I'll be excited if this is definitely happening. Nicktoons Unite: The Movie....has a nice ring to it.

If this actually is a thing, then it sounds like an interesting idea, but it could either be really good or really bad.

Yeah, I have my suspicions about this source as well. It doesn't look or sound too reliable. Plus, I honestly can't see a huge crossover of various Nicktoons characters merging together for a huge crossover movie. Some of the series could work as crossover material, but I don't think that many or to warrant a movie. Not to mention the whole idea and title being Nicktoons just instantly makes me think of fan-fiction.

Plus aren't some of the rights to those somewhat iffy? Ren and Stimpy changed hands if I remember right and then you got Doug which went to a whole other network.

Sound like a clickbait article to me.
From experience from working on a Nicktoons crossover fancomic, this could end up being pretty cool. Or it could be really really lame. It could also come off as pandering, and feel like it's written by some old fan longing for the glory days of programming from his childhood.
We'll have to wait and see, but I doubt much will come from it.

If this is true, I'm excited to see a Nicktoons movie. It would be awesome if more Nicktoons were involved in some way, not just the ones from the 90's. I wouldn't be surprised if Paramount wanted to do this after the success of The SpongeBob Movie. But for right now, I'm taking this with a grain of salt.

Until we hear or read something about this from Nickeldoeon or Viacom officially, this is a rumor rather than a report.

This could go both ways, it could invigorate intrest/nostalgia in the classic shows, or turn out like a massive Fanfic project.

According to Cartoon Brew, the movie is to be called Nicktoons, and will take influence from The Lego Movie, Space Jam, Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, and Wreck It Ralph. The project is currently in early development at Paramount by SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water producers Mary Parent and Cale Boyter, through their production company Disruption Entertainment. No writer is attached to the project yet. The news were first reported by The Tracking Board.
