Impressive the Saturday material did recover from the last couple of weeks of declines, especially TT by seeing that 2 million.

They advertise the movie so it could always be that they still do.
Correct it still advertises movie every day so more viewers tune in. When the movies are done and when they found out Nashville airing, majority fans tuning out or changed channel. That Nashville did have promo sometimes but only as CMT and never mentions as nick at nite.

Has Adult Swim or toonami ratings are better than nick at nite?

I think the movie premiere is disappointing it couldn't get higher than 2 mil viewers.. Even Thundermans one hour special aired on Jun 24 got 2.2 rating. Let's hope Sat or Sunday movie encore got higher than that..

I expected the premiere of Sponge out of Water to get higher than 2 million

With all the promotion & hype Nick gave to it I am disappointed

But I think I can place the blame squarely (pun intended) on ONE thing: Despicable Me 3

It was a bad idea for Nick & CN to air SooW & a new episode of Teen Titans Go on the same day as the release of one of the most highly-anticipated movies of the summer!

I get it was for 4th of July weekend but still

It's like they were ASKING to fail!

DM 3 hurt the ratings for not only SpongeBob but also Teen Titans Go

People want the Minions right now

Not SpongeBob SquarePants

I'm gonna really laugh if the TTG special actually did better than Sponge out of Water

I forgot to include in the previous post Despicable Me 3 is the cause for this.

I did say SpongeBob movie is failing and also new episode Teen Titans Go aired on a Friday too. You know for someone that said they want Teen Titans Go rating to beat SpongeBob and laugh, I'd consider this tone very harsh in my opinion.

Anyways I hope Saturday numbers may pull higher viewers since they were promoting for Friday, Sat, and Sunday.

I think it did fine. Friday PM premieres in the summer are pretty tough. Personally, I'd like to know how it Saturday morning. I would expect that to have been a better number considering Nick does better Saturday mornings.

Not sure if we'd be able to see Saturday morning or Saturday/Sunday night ratings though...

It may have done well if it was any other movie

But this is SPONGEBOB we're talking about here so it did bad for SpongeBob standards!
