I remember having turned on that episode halfway in and thought it was new show.

Butch also talks about two other spin-off ideas he had for FOP in the above video: One starring Mr. Crocker and his mom, before he has even met Timmy, and one with each episode focusing on a different character.

I wonder if that rejection caused Hartman to stop using the other characters?

In yesterdays podcast, Butch talked about Crash Nebula:

It's a shame since Crash Nebula looked very good.

Spellementary School was also meant to be a pilot for a spin off
Again, Hartman and his obsession with Mr. Crocker. The idea of using different FOP characters sounds like a fantastic idea. Hartman could've done that with FOP and kept the show's writing fresh or at least decent. But of course if Hartman's different FOP characters show had gone through, he would've had excuses to shove the overused characters like Crocker,Cosmo, and/or Mr. Turner in every episode he could.

I’m still a little sad that Crash Nebula didn’t get picked up. The character designs were a huge step up from Butch’s other shows.

Is no Network willing to take this guy on or something?

He’s working at pocket.watch at the moment.
It’s a non-exclusive deal, so maybe he’ll pitch stuff around still.

The REAL reason Chole was added into the show.

Spoiler Alert: It's the same exact reason Butch said previously.

Change of plans, no concert for me tonight! Instead, if everything goes according to plan, I will instead be seeing Chris Barron (of Spin Doctors) in May.
I may actually delete my twitter account. It is just really bad these days, and I have other ways to keep in touch with the few people on there I do care about, so deleting it would be rather easy. Something I once thought I'd never think of doing.

I still haven't made a real post on that Dreamwidth blog I have linked in my signature. Still deciding what I want to do with it, really. I want to practice my reviewing skills so I may use it exclusively as a review blog for whatever I feel like.
