NARUTO OVA TWO TALKBACK!

Japanese Title: "Battle At Hidden Falls: I Am The Hero"
English Title: "Mission: Protect The Waterfall Village"
Original English Title: "Battle in the Hidden Falls! I AM a Hero!!!"
DVD Title: "Naruto: The Lost Story"

SYNOPSIS: It's summer and Naruto and gang are doing missions. Their newest mission is to escort the leader of the Hidden Waterfall Village. But when Kakashi is called back to Konoha for an emergency jounin meeting, he leaves Naruto and gang behind. At the same time, an attack is initiated on the Hidden Waterfall Village, led by a missing-nin, and its former strongest jounin is executed. All of this is an attempt to get the "hero water", which multiplies your chakra tenfold in exchange for your life. Naruto and the gang are forced to do battle with the enemy in order to rid the Hidden Waterfall Village of its menace.

CHARACTERS:

Naruto Uzumaki (Age: 12, Allegiance: Leaf): Naruto is the main protaginst of this show, and OAV. The "Number One Hyperactive Ninja"s main goal is to become the greatest hokage the hidden leaf village has ever had and gain the respect of everyone. He's fought some pretty tough opponents in his past and is now in for the fight of his life, or at least that's what the dubbers would have you belief, against the Hidden Waterfall Village. Will this prankster be able to save the day or not?

Sasuke Uchida (Age: 12, Allegiance: Leaf): The brilliant genin and one of the two living Uchida, Sasuke is an avenger with a mission: Get strong enough to beat his brother Itachi. He's on Team 7 with Naruto and Sakura and part of this battle against the Hidden Waterfall villiage. Will his Sharrigan be able to get him out of this mess or not?

Sakura Haruno (Age: 12, Allegiance: Leaf): A female ninja (aka kunochi) in training with a huge crush on Sasuke (and growing tolearnce/like for Naruto) Sakura is the last of the three member squad of Team 7. She's also assigned to fight the Hidden Waterfall Village, and despite not having the power or skills that other members of her team might had, she might... not be a useless lump in this movie. Tune and see if such is true!

Kakashi Hatake (Age: 27, Allegiance: Leaf) The Jonin in charge of squad Seven. Before Naruto, Saskue and Sakura, Kakashi had never led a squad, with no one able to pass his survival test. He places a strong value in friendship and teamwork and most of his friends had died a long time ago. He leads this mission against the Hidden Waterfall Village which will hopefully go better for him then facing one of the Hidden Mist Villiage greatest rouge Shinobi.

OTHER CHARACTERS: Some OVA only characters you may or may not care about

SPOILERS: Since this is an OVA Special don't talk so much about the episodes but rather just the OVA. And don't spoil things that happen in future eps, and future OVAs while you're at it will you?

And now it's time for some interesting notes you may be having about this special.

As mentioned before this is the second Naruto OVA. The first was a special 20 minute OVA about Konohamaru falling for some girl. It for some reason has never been shown/dubbed for the US market (probably because it isn't too action focused) but was the OVA special shown for Jump Festa 2003. (the Special Shonen Jump Festival event that happens every year in Japan for various shonen anime, showcasing various specials and shorts you usually won't find anywhere else). This is the Jump Festa 2004 OVA, and if you missed it tonight, you can catch it on DVD May 22nd at your local retailer.

It should be noted this being an OVA is out of contniuity with the regular series. As in it has no relation to the arc we're currently in. If it did take place somewhere it'd be after the events of Episode 80 but before the events of 81.

Also there will be a Naruto Marathon 5-7 of recent episodes before this special airs 7-8. At 9 will be an all new ep, and at 10 this special will repeat.

Well hope that catches everyone up. Enjoy this special and the new episode with it!

So I'm kinda behind, like around episode 35 or something. Are there going to be any spoilers if I watch this?

22 minutes and counting... This OVA better be worth the hour and I'm still betting on Toonami showing a CN show to fill up the 20 extra minutes.

What was the joke?

The Naruto anime was making its big debut on primetime television, and the one hour special preempted POT that week, so Konohamaru warned Naruto that they were cutting into that show's time. Trust me, it was a lot funnier then it sounds, but it has no bearing on the American versions of either show.

youtube Nickelodeon even uploaded sneak peek clip 6 min of upcoming episode of Young Dylan - The Gift Grift which was supposed to air last Thursday but was pulled at last notice

youtube Nickelodeon above banner STILL reads as That New Thursday Nights.. it may be a matter of time to remove that banner since there's no new episodes of Lay Lay and Dylan this time.
