Sisters in Arms was pretty sweet/engaging, Mysticons, my favorite great new "girl power" series.

It does have a sweet W.I.T.C.H. vibe as much as I love W.I.T.C.H.
The animation/art style is pretty sweet.
Both Arkayna, Emerald, Zarya, and Piper, great enjoyable new major heroines, Zarya(purple-head), my favorite jerky female heroine like Rainbow Dash/Buttercup/Amethyst:D.
King Darius/Queen Goodfey, okay parent characters.
Gawayne, terrible crappy step-brother reminding me of Kade Burns/Eddy's Brother, I'll love it when he gets taken down a peg.
I like the cat villain, hope to see him more.
Both Baron Dreadbane/Dark Mage, my favorite awesome horrible major villains, Baron Dreadbane a Skeletor clone, love it, they have sweet designs:D.
King Darius/Queen Goodfey to be saved as a plot device.
Arkayna, Emerald, Zarya, and Piper vs. Baron Dreadbane/his skeleton army was sweet.
Malvaron, great supporting character.
Arkayna, Emerald, Zarya, and Piper chosen as the Mysticons, sweet.

I'll enjoy more episodes of it, such a great new series.

How to Train a Mysticon was pretty sweet,

Nova the Head Councilman was great/interesting, but I'm very suspicious on him.
Doug the Cyclops guy, a great new supporting character.
The Mysticons' griffins were cool/cute:anime:.
Both Arkayna, Emerald, Zarya, and Piper's training was sweet.
Love Zarya's heart of gold soft side.
Tazma, my favorite awesome jerkette sister villainess next to Blackfire, Princess Azula, and Trina:D, the Dark Mage to be revealed was great.
Arkayna, Emerald, Zarya, and Piper working together and great teamwork was great.
The Mysticons vs. Tazma was great.
Malvaron to train the Mysticons was great.

It's too bad; it's always nice to see another cartoon aimed at girls airing in the US, but this one is just so...uninspired. It certainly isn't the next Winx Club, IMO.

Yeah, I'm not really feeling this show. The art's not that appealing compared to something like Lolirock, and that would've saved it too, since this just felt a bit generic. Maybe I should've watched the first episode?
Either way, I don't feel like catching the third.

I haven't gotten to watching it yet, but from the previews and promo videos, this show seems like a mixture between Shadowrun, Ever After High, DC Super Hero girls and that elves thing from Lego.

Probably nothing spectacular, but it could still be decent. Animation, art and voice acting cold be better though from what I've seen/heard.

So yeah, "The Coronation"? this could have easily been done in any sitcom series. Most of it was nothing more than Gawayne going "I'm gonna be king, and you're not!", with the dragon disk never even being mentioned until near the end of the episode. I also saw the fake out opening coming a mile way. That, and his predictable ungratefulness for the Mysticons saving him. Also, there was toilet humor a couple of times. That was uncalled for. On the other hand, they didn't exactly say that the whole thing was her fault for using her powers for "personal gain", so they WERE able to avoid the predictable, patronizing, as well as arbitrary "great responsibility" lesson (well, kind of), and what's-his-name didn't (exactly) preach to her about it.

So in all, this show just dug itself deeper. I can only hope it will dig itself out at some point. In any case, we are possibly looking at both a generic sitcom-style series, and a deconstructive parody of action adventure shows, sentai-style magic girl fighters notwithstanding. Moreover, this one episode seemed designed to appeal to the "tired of following the rules" crowd, while seemingly telling them "We don't like it either, and we understand how you feel, but even if your parents aren't there, your older siblings/other people older than you are still in charge, even if they are jerks." which by itself is a "Family Unfriendly Aesop" right there, even for viewers who don't have older siblings or any other older relatives to watching over them. In any case, shouldn't they be looking for The Codex, and for a way to bring back their parents (I missed "How to Train a Mysticon", so forgive me if I missed anything)?

The Coronation was pretty sweet,

Gawayne to be in charge to be the new king, he'll suck at it by being a selfish spoiled brat:shrug:, poor Arkanya/butler.
Love the cute Medusa reporter.
Arkanya crushing Gawayne was awesome/satisfying.
Kymraw and her biker orcs, my favorite awesome new troll/orc villains:D.
Gawayne the hostage, satisfying, go Kymraw, hehehe.
The poor Mysticons to save piece of trash Gawayne, they should leave him.
The Mysticons vs. Kymraw/her biker orcs was great.
Best well-deserved ending with Gawayne's just desserts, hehehe:p.

just because someone doesn't want to talk about this episode talkback does NOT mean that this thread should be closed.
if anyone wants to add something, then fine let them add something. still nothing for you to get worked up or overreact on this simple stuff if you feel you are the only person watching this show. not a big deal

So, watched the first episode.

I didn't have the best feeling about the show, but I'm glad I gave it a chance. As many flaws as it has, from the inconsistent quality of the voice acting to the overuse of stereotypes and some questionable decisions in art design (3D-models never look good in 2D-animated shows), buried under all this lies a little gem of a show. The main cast has some great dynamics, the actions scenes were nice, the animation is pretty decent and there were some funny lines. The best aspect about it however is the scenario, with its mixture of fantasy and modern society. It's in no way perfect, but still a rather enjoyable show.

Also, "Get your elf butt in here" must be one of the best exposition lines ever ;D

So I watched a couple more episodes, and I gotta say, this show is sweet. If they had polished it a little more, it could actually have turned into a really big thing.

The animation feels 10 years out of date, but honestly that aside I think it's pretty charming and does relatively well with what it has.
All the characters are fun and likable for the most part, and the story and world are engaging even if not the most original thing in the world.

I hope this defies the odds and becomes a hit (or at least big enough to Nick not to pull a Ladybug on it), but things aren't stacked in it's favor. Still even if it doesn't get any bigger than it is, I'm glad it exists.
