Well, at least we know next season will be the last. Curious to see how many episodes it will take to adapt the rest of the manga.
10/12/24: Here's my theory but I think you might seen it already:
The season finale adapted up to Chapter 398 of the manga. So that leaves 26 chapters for season 8 to adapt. Season 7 was 21 episodes that adapted from chapter 329 to 398, or 69 chapters. So in theory, season 8 will only be 8-9 episodes, max 10.

10/28: Non-anime but could impact the last season, the final volume will have a new, expanded ending. 50-60 new pages. Hey, maybe we'll finally meet Izuku's dad! Not! :p

12/21: Season 8 set for Fall 2025.

Vigilantes is being adapted into an anime series and it premieres April 2025! edit: started a thread for it.

3/4/25: Kohei Horikoshi made new artwork for the art exhibition starting this summer.

3/11: Season 8 reportedly premieres in October.

3/22: Season 8 teaser posted.

AnimeJapan panel streamed.

"My Hero Academia’s Final Season Begins This October"

"For the time being, Deku and friends are on hiatus, taking a well-deserved break while a separate group of adventurers — the Vigilantes — are starring in their own prequel spinoff. But eventually, the more familiar cast will return for their eighth and final season when My Hero Academia wraps everything up this fall. Toho Amination confirmed the return date over the weekend during AnimeJapan in Tokyo.

The season was announced with a short trailer, narrated from the dual perspectives of Hero Deku and Villain Tomura Shigaraki. The trailer offers no new footage (unless I missed something), using stock clips of Deku and Shigaraki from the existing seasons.

The eighth season will be directed by Naomi Nakayama, who also directed My Hero Academia Season 7 last year. Yosuke Kuroda (Trigun) is once again writing the episode scripts, just as he has done since the very beginning. Studio BONES is providing the animation."

"The “My Hero Academia” Final Season English Dub Premieres this Saturday on Crunchyroll"

"Subtitled episodes of My Hero Academia‘s final season premiered on October 4 and fans of the English audio track have been wondering when the dub will be released. Now we have confirmation that this Saturday (October 18) is the day that the dub premieres. That means we have a fairly short turnaround of only two weeks after the subtitled premiere. Spy X Family also premiered its first subtitled episode on October 4, so it is a little surprising that the dub for that series was not announced simultaneously. Will the dub for that series be announced soon or will it be an additional week or more behind the subtitled release? We’ll keep you posted.

In the meantime, here's the trailer for the English Dub"
