Since the Checkmate operative gave DuBois the ultimatum to get Amazo back in 24 hours or else in Issue #4, my guess is Waller turned him over to Checkmate agents waiting at Mt. Simonsen Base then he was taken to one of their holding facilities and been their ever since. And for her assistance, Waller was allowed to stay in charge of Task Force X heading into season 2.So I guess Bloodsport has been stuck in Waller's custody this whole time. Will he be freed in season 3 after she's been ousted?
Well, one subplot of this comic was Team 7 trying to move up and supplant Task Force X's place within Checkmate. But it was a failure, not to mention a major asset was lost in Project Orion. But in the end Checkmate still needs Team 7 in its primary function as the clean up crew. So I think Team 7 is still operational, Killgrave still works there, and someone new was assigned to lead it. John Lynch is famous for leading it in the comics but since Agent Cash was the only know member in this canon - it could be possible Checkmate promoted him since he did lead a Team 7 in the Flashpoint timeline of comics.DeBois might need less backstory since he's probably one of Waller's convicts now. I will say his send-off is rather overwhelming, just a single panel. And we didn't get much of Team 7 after all. Is Dr. Killgrave also under custody or is he reassigned? I guess the "more" that Josie Campbell teased was the Cash name-drop. Eh.
They'll need to do a spinoff of the tie-comic to cover what they couldn't fit in it.Team 7 - Only we don't have the comic space or the creativity to feature all seven of them .
