Amazo narrowly avoided death, got to be a hero, and lives on in a happy childhood memory of Clark's. Neat wrap up. Funny his memory unit is now at the rebuilt Kent home. And a new body is something Mallah and Brain are working on. Very interesting. Wonder if that feeds into season 3 or a potential second comic book mini-series.

Totally forgot we'd see the first thing Jimmy bought with his money in this comic.

Only nitpick was the logline was a little misleading about how much of Waller's new project we'd see. All we got was one panel with no dialogue of Waller, Damage, and Atomic Skull walking a restrained DuBois down a hall in Mt. Simonsen Base. Shrug.

Amazo was destined for a tragic end, but at least he went out on his own terms, Iron Giant style, and Clark was able to save him in the end. Albeit now just as a core who will probably stay that way until we get a future tie-in comic (because I doubt this becomes a legit plot in the main show).

Jimmy's first big purchase! And it's a plane to take them into space! Kind of full-circle considering what he ends up spending the rest of his money on in season 2.

So I guess Bloodsport has been stuck in Waller's custody this whole time. Will he be freed in season 3 after she's been ousted?

Since the Checkmate operative gave DuBois the ultimatum to get Amazo back in 24 hours or else in Issue #4, my guess is Waller turned him over to Checkmate agents waiting at Mt. Simonsen Base then he was taken to one of their holding facilities and been their ever since. And for her assistance, Waller was allowed to stay in charge of Task Force X heading into season 2.

This was a strong ending. I was more surprised than I should've by Superman saving Amazo. They were really evoking The Iron Giant with him, so I was expecting a sacrifice. Still, he's written out of season 2. I'm wondering if they're going to bring him back for season 3 or if he's returning in a potential comic tie-in. I think the latter might be more likely since they'd have to drop A LOT of backstory on him if he's in the show.

I love the visuals of Amazo absorbing Project Orion, basically growing wings and glowing red until Superman saves him. Good stuff.

DeBois might need less backstory since he's probably one of Waller's convicts now. I will say his send-off is rather overwhelming, just a single panel. And we didn't get much of Team 7 after all. Is Dr. Killgrave also under custody or is he reassigned? I guess the "more" that Josie Campbell teased was the Cash name-drop. Eh.

Well, one subplot of this comic was Team 7 trying to move up and supplant Task Force X's place within Checkmate. But it was a failure, not to mention a major asset was lost in Project Orion. But in the end Checkmate still needs Team 7 in its primary function as the clean up crew. So I think Team 7 is still operational, Killgrave still works there, and someone new was assigned to lead it. John Lynch is famous for leading it in the comics but since Agent Cash was the only know member in this canon - it could be possible Checkmate promoted him since he did lead a Team 7 in the Flashpoint timeline of comics.

Agreed, it was a letdown we didn't see an actual full team and we didn't see "more" beyond Killgrave, just mentioning Cash unless that was Cash telling DuBois over comms Orion would destroy Metropolis. But still, a letdown.

That is a good point, it would be a lot to explain if a rebuilt Amazo appears in season 4 vs. returning in a second mini-series. Which is a shame they have to dance around it and relegate him to comics-only character. But then if he's rebuilt, how can they keep him off the show without destroying him again or writing him off - i.e. sending him to space? Team 7 could still appear in season 3 in its basic capacity of cleaning up a scene (which the comic revealed they did so to Ivo's lab in season 1 between scenes) without having to get into the Amazo incident. With Waller AWOL for whatever reason, Team 7 is gonna use their mops a lot.

I'm all for more tie-in material, but I think it should physically link into a future season a bit better next time around in addition to Campbell elaborating on Clark and Lois's mental space heading into their S2 arcs in this series.

The News Team's Magmaster12 has a new review up on the front page of Animesuperhero.com:

"Review: “My Adventures With Superman” (The Comic Book): A Surprise Early Christmas Gift"

My-Adventures-With-Superman-closeup.jpg

"It’s Christmas time in Metropolis in this all-new comic book tie-in to the hit Adult Swim cartoon “My Adventures with Superman”, which works to fill in the gaps between the first and second seasons of the show.

As far as comic book tie-ins to animated series go, they are usually a pretty mixed bag. In some cases, you’ll get something like the Young Justice tie-in comics, which were written by Greg Wiesman, but only filled in very minor plot lines going on in the background – only to be cut short before introducing certain characters that deserved to show up. Then you have comics like the Timmverse tie-ins, with no input from the show’s creators, making them barely canon. The announcement of this series was pretty promising, since writer Josie Campbell is the Headwriter for “My Adventures With Superman” along with past experience writing comics such as “I Heart Skull-Crushing” and the currently ongoing Shazam series.

However this recent tie-in comic not only fills in some major storylines for season 2 it also proves to be quite an emotional journey. The first issue starts by talking about the joy of the holiday season and how it allows us to reflect on stressful events, and allows the passage of time to let us heal. and we see this play out as the series continues."

wow, only a couple weeks until Christmas already. this year has gone by so fast.
My Spanish final grade is being calculated RN. Keep in mind, most of my tests I didn't do good on. One test I got a 49, and on the latest test the score hasn't come in yet so it's in the placeholder grade of a 0, and right now that zero currently counts towards the calculations.

All that said, my current grade- zero test included- is a 90.41%. An A.

Well, I still would like to see Netflix do more with the "three episodes per week" format after Arcane. The final arc of The Dragon Prince could ultilise this, should it be greenlit after the upcoming release of Book Seven: Dark in eight days' time.
