As many of you know over the decades, many music were given their own TV shows, whether it be live action or animated, it would leave a lasting mark on their careers. Now I will do this in different parts.

In the 1960s, we had the Beatles

and then came, the Monkees

More to come................................

Reba, though didn't require Reba McEntire to sing.

But there were tons of variety shows with the likes of Andy Williams, Bobby Darin, Sonny & Cher, Tom Jones, Engelbert Humperdinck, Starland Vocal Band, Captain & Tennille, and so on during the 60's & 70's.

Then in the 1970s arose the Jackson 5

followed by their vanilla counterparts, The Osmonds

then, out of nowhere, a young, unknown (then Austrailian) pop/rock star named, Rick Springfield

and last to round off this decade were Scotland's own tartan plaid rockers, the Bay City Rollers (whom actually had 2 shows as a matter of fact).

There's The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air because at the time, Will Smith was better known as a rapper than an actor since he was one half of DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince. In fact, DJ Jazzy Jeff had a recurring role as Will's pal Jazz, who had a running gag of being thrown out by Will's uncle Phil.

Nickelodeon had Big Time Rush in late 2009-2013, which is a real life band. Disney had series Jonas named after real life band Jonas Brothers

In fact, BTR lasted longer than Jonas. The show I mean. The latter only lasted two seasons as the second season was a retool which didn't help the show.

the success of the show led to big time rush becoming a real life band not the other way around

whereas the jonas brothers were a band first

if anything BTR was nick's version of the jonas brothers!

as for the topic at hand:

does nick's new acquired cartoon "kuu kuu harajuku" count?

Actually BTR was a pastiche of the 90s boyband trope. They were different from The Jonas Brothers. Though Jonas had more hits and such, BTR didn't get a huge hatedom that led the band into obscurity.

Given that Gwen Stefani is involved at this since her dance troupe are called the Harajuku Lovers, then yes it counts.

Also, AKB48 have an anime of their own as well plus My Dad the Rockstar is the closest thing to a Kiss cartoon since Gene Simmons was involved in this and there were plans for a Kiss cartoon in the Nineties on Fox Kids before some differences between Simmons and Haim Saban killed it.
