Live Action Claymore Coming to Paramount Plus?

Probably the most shocking piece of anime news ever has ever broken out. CBS and Paramount Plus have been complete non factors in the anime streaming wars, with no anime content at all on that streaming service. Deadline has just reported that CBS Studios will create a live action adaptation of the 2000s battle shonen series Claymore.

Wow, that's out of left-field! I always wondered when the "Hollywood adapting manga/anime into live-action movies and tv shows" pipeline would start and I'm wondering if this the beginning of that.

It's been going on since the live action Guyver in 1991, so Hollywood anime adaptations have been with us a while. It's just that most of them have been reviled with One Piece being the cursebreaker. Claymore is kinda an awkward pick because it's kinda fallen into obscurity over the years among this generation of casuals. The anime never got a cable airing and came out when the DVD market was collapsing and before streaming hit it huge, which led to it being more well known with the hardcores than the casuals. Maybe this live action will revive interest in the anime. I'm hoping this is less divisive than the Paramount Plus Star Trek shows as that is probably the special effects driven franchise Paramount Plus is most infamous for.

I'm thinking Paramount Plus is trying to make their own equivalent of House of the Dragon or The Witcher and anime has lots of dark and gritty medieval fantasy titles and Claymore is one of the better titles in that anime genre.

Can you confirm whether or not the Swedish audio track of Cartoon Network Western Europe has an error in the episode "Nightmare on Toon Street" where it switches to the Dutch dub in the second half of the episode?

Because that exact error is indeed present on HBO Max.
