This is the only short which had the original titles restored, which was supposed to be on the Golden Collection Volume 2. Warner made it available on YouTube for a couple dollars.

Now WB, is it so hard to put these AT LEAST on the Warner Archive, so it's up to the user if they want to have racial stereotyped shorts in their collection?

Few years ago, in the VHS Prints someone found the original credits of "Tom and Jerry in the Hollywood Bowl": .

I think that more prints of the pre-1951 Tom and Jerry were survived at the MGM Vault Fire, but as we know... money, money, money...

How many T&J Shorts have their original title cards restored aside from this?

2, but one unrestored, second restored. Plus "Hatch Up Your Troubles", "Little Orphan" and "Love That Pup" kept their original prints, despite their Cinemascope re-releases).

Plus, here there are other Tom and Jerry Golden Collection Volume 2 spoilers:
1. Little Quacker, 1950 despite the original titles found still has the post-1950 AN MGM Cartoon ending title card.
2. Heavenly Puss, 1948 and Jerry's Diary, 1949 in their 1960's prints have the Red MGM 1949's Color by Technicolor added excerpt for 1960's MGM logo which was used in the Golden Collection 1 prints.
3. The Blackface scenes in the "His Mouse Friday, 1951" are intact and restored.
4. The already restored cartoons, which were presented in Warner Bros. Entertainment Home Academy Awards Cartoon Collection had been cleaned.

@Leviathan, they are availible via youtube, each costs $1,99 or they are absolutely free on Amazon Prime Germany, but German release misses Mouse Cleaning, 1948, Casanova Cat, 1951, Jerry's Diary, 1949, Little Quacker, 1950 and The Framed Cat, 1950.

For future reference, it's in the Tom and Jerry and Friends, Vol. 1 pack. The same pack that's been available on YouTube for years.

I'm not sure if they're the remastered versions, though. Most of the time, WB uses TV prints for their T&J DVDs

Was this from one of the MGM Cartoon Festival tapes?

On Google Play US they are also remastered.
@Cartoon-Kev: Yes, it was from one on the MGM Cartoon Festival tapes.

As we know also WB due to the unremaster the two blackfaces cartoons remastered the "Puppy Tale" and "The Posse Cat".

And here's the unofficial list of this remaster with notices:
1. Polka-Dot Puss, 1948
2. Little Orphan, 1948 - already remastered for Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Academy Awards Cartoon Collection
3. Hatch Up Your Troubles, 1948 - already remastered for Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Academy Awards Cartoon Collection
4. Heavenly Puss. 1948 - The 1960's print has replaced the 1960's MGM logo with 1949's MGM Red Tanner Logo.
5. The Cat and the Mermouse, 1949
6. Love That Pup, 1949
7. Jerry's Diary, 1949 - The 1960's print has replaced the 1960's MGM logo with 1949's MGM Red Tanner Logo. Not availible via Amazon Prime due to the no German dubbing
8. Tennis Chumps, 1949
9. Little Quacker, 1950 - The original opening credits has been restored replacing the reissue titles from 1956-1957 season. Not availible via Amazon Prime due to the heavy censorship of German dubbing.
10. Saturday Evening Puss, 1949
11. Texas Tom, 1950 - On Super RTL Germany that cartoon has the smoke scenes censored, on Amazon Prime Germany the smoking scenes were intact.
12. Jerry and the Lion, 1950 - already remastered for Tom and Jerry Santa Little Helpers
13. Safety Second, 1950
14. Tom and Jerry in the Hollywood Bowl, 1950
15. The Framed Cat, 1950 - for unknown reasons this cartoon is omitted by Amazon Prime.

Now if only I can see the original titles of "Wild and Woofly" (1945)... Since they used to exist online sometime ago and now I can't find them anywhere. I hope somebody has any idea about this.

I think, that more T&J and Tex Avery Cartoons have survived with their original prints and titles, but as we know... the remaster process of original titles is the most expensive thing, than restore the re-release print which is cheaper.

The problem is the original nitrate elements to pre 1951 shorts were burned in the MGM Vault Fire.

When they do exist then the restoration is great, when they do not exist the restoration is completely pointless and screws up the cartoon even more, as they either use really faded prints or have to digitally remove the dirt causing many artifacts.

Infact, some of the restored T&J Shorts(Non-Gene Deitch) have the 1960's Leo the lion opening

I'm so curious, why the original prints of "Hatch Up Your Troubles", "Little Orphan", "Love That Pup" and "Jerry's Diary" survived? I think, if these 4 shots had survived + also Tom and Jerry in the Hollywood Bowl, that all Tom and Jerry and Tex Avery cartoons with their original titles survived. The American Cartoonist Historics should know more about that, but they won't tell us - the fans of classics shouldn't know about that.

Plus don't forget, that the American Historics presents in 2009 the original nitrates of "Puss'n'Toots" and "The Midnight Snack". I think that they are also survived, and they are protected in the Warner Archives.

Money, money, money dudes - Hollywood Logic, of course.
