Codename: Kids Next Door Takes On the Adults

Mission: K.N.D. Weekend On Cartoon Network and CartoonNetwork.com

The adults try to take over the programming on Cartoon Network and the only way to stop them will be with the help of the kids from Codename: Kids Next Door. Beginning Friday, August 8, at 8 p.m. (ET, PT), Cartoon Network will air Codename: Kids Next Door along with other Cartoon Network originals for 54 consecutive hours. As part of the event, viewers can collect clues by watching cartoons and then go to CartoonNetwork.com to play an exciting new game that continues the mission online.

Throughout the weekend, the kids from Codename: Kids Next Door will “spy” on their own show, dropping in clues to viewers that will enable them to assemble a broadcasting device to stop the adults from taking over the network. Viewers will use these codes online to complete each level of the game. On Sunday, August 10, at 10 p.m. (ET, PT) Cartoon Network will reveal if the kids were successful in stopping the adults from taking over. Codename: Kids Next Door and other Cartoon Network originals- Dexter’s Laboratory, The Powerpuff Girls, Courage the Cowardly Dog and Ed, Edd n Eddy will air in one hour blocks throughout the weekend. Viewers will receive an honorary Codename: Kids Next Door Membership with completion of the mission.

Codename: Kids Next Door follows the escapades of five eager, yet bumbling, ten-year-olds as they join forces against adulthood to fight for the right to enjoy all the fun things in life. These principled kids tackle the really important issues facing their peers, like the right to stay up late or to eat whatever they want. But when taking a stand is just not enough, this crew embarks on top secret missions on behalf of children everywhere, utilizing fantastic homemade technology like flying machines and catapults, to accomplish their goals.

I don't know really how to rate this. I like Eds, Dexter, KND, and PPG. So seeing them is not bad. And they mentioned new eps of Dex, PPG (both in September I think) and KND (in October, I think again). And seeing the KND interact with the other CC is neat since they never got a chance to be on CCF and host. But not getting to see a new Teen Titans or Kenshin this week kinda puts a dent in it. Also the clue thing online is pointless. Overall... um... 3/5 I guess.

Friday August 19 at 8:00 am can be described as the John Stamos hour since he's doing voice work in the shows that have premieres on the Disney Junior block (Mickey Mouse Funhouse and Spidey And His Amazing Friends). They're even being simulcast on the Disney Junior channel.
Today marks the 5th Year Anniversary of Sonic Mania. As someone who had their introduction to video games through the Sega Genesis Days of Sega's mascot, this game was a dream come true for me and I am hopeful it will receive a sequel some day in the future.
Smiling Friends' Brazil Special is basically Foster's Goes to Europe done right.
Check out @stephane dumas 's "SD Sketches" thread on The Drawing Board! Can you believe he's been doing this since 2011? Holy smokes!

I wouldn't be surprised if this got a show at some point.
