A new pre-school series starring Iron Man this time will premiere in 2025 on Disney Jr. and Disney+.

Disney Jr. has announced the greenlight for Marvel’s Iron Man and his Awesome Friends, the first preschool Iron Man series. Debuting on Disney Jr. and Disney+ in summer 2025, the series will follow a young Tony Stark (Iron Man) and his world-saving besties, Riri Williams (Ironheart) and Amadeus Cho (Iron Hulk). Together, the three young heroes work to make the world a better place, protecting their city and each other.

Marvel’s Iron Man and his Awesome Friends follows the adventures (and misadventures) of best friends and super geniuses Tony Stark, Riri Williams, and Amadeus Cho as they work together to solve problems both big and small and protect their city. To help them in their Super Hero endeavors, they each have their own Iron Suits that allow them to fly and give them each enhanced super-strength. In addition, Iron Man has a Nano-Shield; Ironheart has a Heartbeat Bubble forcefield to protect people, and Iron Hulk has his strong Iron Boom clap and Iron Hulk Stomp. They work out of their beachfront base, Iron Quarters (IQ), under the supervision of their superpowered android, Vision, and their furry pup, Gamma, who has her very own Iron Pup suit and accompanies the Iron Friends on many of their adventures.

The series stars Mason Blomberg as the voice of Tony Stark (Iron Man), Kapri Ladd as Riri Williams (Ironheart), and Aidyn Ahn as Amadeus Cho (Iron Hulk), with David Kaye as Vision and Fred Tatasciore as Gamma. Additional characters and casting will be announced at a later date.

From Disney Branded Television, Marvel’s Iron Man and his Awesome Friends is executive produced by Sean Coyle (Puppy Dog Pals) and Harrison Wilcox (Marvel’s Spidey and his Amazing Friends). James Eason-Garcia (Pupstruction) is co-executive producer and story editor, Alex Cichon (Lego Marvel: Spider-Man: Vexed by Venom) is supervising producer; Ashley Rideout (Marvel’s Spidey and his Amazing Friends) is producer, and Michael Dowding (Hello Ninja) is supervising director. The series is produced by Disney Jr. and Marvel Studios in association with Atomic Cartoons.

I didn't think we'd get more preschool Marvel shows, let alone an Iron Man one. It's not even a spinoff, it's basically "What if Spidey and his Amazing Friends was aboutIron Man instead" o_O.

And once again, an adult character is made to be the same age as their protege with Tony and Riri :p.

But like...Amadeus Cho is so random. Like, they acknowledge the Hulk connection with the Hulk armor but he has absolutely no connection or relation to Iron Man other than being super smart .

And like how can you have an Iron Man cartoon without Rhodey/War Machine? I guess he's less preschool friendly (and Riri is there to fill the black character slot) but it feels wrong not to have him here :(.

David Kaye reprising Vision is unexpected. I guess because he's Marvel's go-to "robot" character. And also I guess acknowledging the JARVIS connection :).

And of course there's a dog :rolleyes2:.

I wonder if we'll get any Marvel Universe guest stars? Or maybe actual Iron Man villains ?

I'm a bit surprised they're not using John Stamos as Iron Man's voice from Spidey's show. Also funny that Tatasciore is voicing a female puppy. Basically Kaye as Vision is kind of the best news here.

Not a lot to comment on the announcement but I'll probably check it out. I haven't watched Spidey's show regularly either. But if they're successful with their target audience all should be fine.

I don't want to be negative about a preschool show but this just seems so lazy, to me. The execution definitely has to be better than this initial idea.

This would have been a perfect time for something like Franklin Richards, Son of a Genius adaptation btw.

"Marvel Announces New “Iron Man And His Awesome Friends” Coming To Disney Jr. In 2025"

imaff.png

"Following the apparent success of Spidey and his Amazing Friends (currently in its third season and with a fourth one on the way), Disney Jr. has ordered a new, similar series – this time focusing on Iron Man. Marvel’s Iron Man and his Awesome Friends is set to premiere in summer of 2025 on both Disney Jr. and Disney+. Marvel has also released a promotional image for the new show, which is included in the article below.

The new series is once again aimed at a preschool audience and will star a young Tony Stark/Iron Man (voiced by Mason Blomberg) and his “awesome friends”, Riri Williams/Ironheart (voiced by Kapri Ladd) and Amadeus Cho/Iron Hulk (voiced by Aidyn Ahn) as they solve problems big and small, and save the city and world in the process. They are also joined by Vision (David Kaye), and their pup Gamma who will have her own suit of armor, naturally. Additional characters and voice actors will be announced in due time."

I guess I shouldn't be surprised as like every time I scroll past Disney Junior they are showing Spider Man and his Amazing Friends so it's pretty clear that's a major success for the network, thus they'd want to have more shows in that vein. And yeah Iron Man is now a really popular character but like... to me more then a lot of other Marvel characters a lot of the appeal of Iron Man is him not only being an ADULT but dealing with like more adult issues. And that was especially amped up by Robert Downy Jr's take on the character. So it's weird to age him down. I felt that about Iron Man Armored Adventures as well which is one of the reasons I was never able to get into that show, but this one feels even more sort of cloying in a way.

Obviously though this isn't anywhere in my demographic and clear it's trying to aim at just young kids and if it succeeds there that's what matters most. I just hope that the theme song is as good as Spidey And His Amazing Friends. I don't care what anyone says about that one; I think it's a really solid song and you know after Spectacular Spider Man we hadn't had a good Spider Man theme song in following shows (or good spider man cartoon itself topic for another day) so glad that one came along to change things. And hoping the same is true here since again I couldn't get into Iron Man Armored Adventures but that still had a great theme song so hope this one does too.

I think they should have think of a better title as it reminds me too much of the Spidey title. Iron Man's Awesome Adventures would have been better. Anyway, I'm watching an episode of it. If my review is negative then hey, it doesn't matter as it's a preschool show.

More random musings...

- As mentioned above this would have been a nice premise for a Fantastic Four cartoon. Reminds me how Hulk & the Agents of SMASH also felt like a F4 show at times, and then later on Ultimate Spider-Man followed the same format with the Web Warriors arc. This time Iron Man's show follows Spidey's show format.

- Amadeus Cho was Iron Spider on Ultimate Spider-Man. Here he's Iron Hulk. What's next?

- I can understand not including Rhodey though on the other hand they could have probably come up with a new codename for him. Like Miles is Spin on Spidey's show. But Ironheart is kind of taking Rhodey's place here. I'd be happy to see Happy Hogan included; he could be part of the supporting cast since there are still roles to be announced. And he has a kid friendly name.

- For rogues, I doubt they'll touch Mandarin. I could see foes like Beetle, Blizzard, Living Laser or MODOK. (Maybe with a "C" at the end again, "conquest" or something instead of "killing"). I presume there will be hero guest-stars eventually, like on Spidey's show but it would be nice if they brought in a different roster.

- I don't know about a Punisher cartoon aimed at pre-schoolers but it could work. If you're naughty he'll punish you, and each episode with end with a moral. I was thinking however of a Daredevil cartoon. Pair him up with Elektra and Punisher, why not, and give him that Lightning the seeing eye-dog sidekick they used in a failed pitch for a cartoon in the '80s.

Ironically the 2017 Spider-Man show being the only time they actually used one of his legitimate comic identities :p.

There's always Iron Patriot :).

I wonder if Pepper will show up...

Never forget Punisher was on Super Hero Squad :rolleyes2:.

I didn't think the humor on Super Hero Squad Show was exactly aimed at pre-schoolers though. It was pretty amusing the way they included Punisher of all characters but I don't expect it to happen again, and have him in a show aimed at younger kids.

The opposite of War Machine would be Peace Machine I think. Peacemaker is already taken. But yeah, Iron Patriot is right there to use.

I think i'm slowly getting used to 60FPS interpolation now that I have a TV with it
I still wish if Netflix should have added any CN shows that are removed from HBO Max... Still wish if they added like Summer Camp Island, etc. :(
