Nickelodeon UK is going to air Neighbours and Home and Away?!

And VIER has a new morning block with old Nicktoons.

@Red Arrow :D: They're clearly using synergies from Channel 5, that's who! But this is just insanely idiotic.
Actually it's not a stupid move, both Neighbours and Home and Away have young audiences, me and my older brother watched Neighbours when we were kids and teens as it was the show that aired on BBC1 after CBBC finished for the day and before the 6 O'Clock news.

By the way, Trouble aired Home and Away and Hollyoaks.

And guess who liked Neighbours back in the day? Michael Grade's daughter, who kept missing the afternoon showings of Neighbours on BBC 1 with her friends because she was at school and instituted the 17:35 showing.

We only got Home and Away a little over a week ago.

Back in elementary school I really liked Happy Tree Friends and Death Note, and most of my friends liked South Park too.
Nickelodeon UK should acquire those shows too, then :p

Except that Happy Tree Friends is an Internet show (that's really not suitable for kids) and Death Note and South Park never air on TV at a time when kids are watching.

I think Nick UK could be airing Neighbours and H&A as Nick's telenovelas (Every Witch Way, etc) are really popular.

There is a Happy Tree Friends TV show, but it was quite boring. 7 minutes is too long for something like HTF episode. I am not going to wait 6 minutes for them to die :D
Death Note was aired at 19:00 in Flanders. And Comedy Central FL is airing South Park all day long, also when kids are still watching.

"Characters don't become tax write offs". I'll remember this to myself and I'll keep saying it because nothing in entertainment is going to be permanent. This is with any IP under copyright or trademark. Oswald the Lucky Rabbit was brought out of retirement for example. What about Apu or any other famous character that was "retired", shelved, or fallen out of use? Only if there is a good idea worth telling.
I keep thinking about that scene from one of the most recent episodes of The Simpsons, where the characters complain about a video they just watched being animated, and demand live-action because "they're adults".
