Not sure January 1st is the right date*January 1st
So this confirms DC FR won't be a mixture of Jr and Channel shows.
Junior and NG Wild are both staying, not in metropolitan (or political France in general) France though, as links sayBluey has aired throughout the day for years though. Junior is likely to stay.
More the UK, which started the trend back in 98It's quite common to see +1 channels in France. They won't become the past sadly.
Of course now the need for them is fading, but they're there for advertising purposes: you can potentially double the viewership, without doing muchI wonder why there's a need for +1 channels. There are catch up services and DVRs out there. It made sense back in the day but currently not really.
Keeping Disney Junior though costs more than a +1They should have kept keep Disney Jr. (Disney Junior) instead, as no need for a +1 channel nowadays, due to platform STBs having catch-up features (24-hrs annd 7-days rewind) nowadays.
These days, there's less of a reason, but there's a benefit of +1 channels, it's an additional channel for viewers to watch an alternative programme, especially if you only just turned your TV on and just watching randomly on linear within the first hour. Also, it's an easy way for broadcasters to get additional ad revenue with little effort.I wonder why there's a need for +1 channels. There are catch up services and DVRs out there. Although it's proven to be fake, it's known to happen, although it's a FTA relaunch, Disney Channel Germany had the 2014 rebrand first.Yeah. There's no way they will get the rebrand before the US which gets it in January. The rest will get it in Spring. I don't trust these videos on Youtube in general.
That was because of the relaunch. It made sense. In other cases I don't see it happening. And I don't even think the US allows them to rebrand before them unless there's a very good reason for that.Although it's proven to be fake, it's known to happen, although it's a FTA relaunch, Disney Channel Germany had the 2014 rebrand first.
There's so few feeds now, they could easily simultaneously rebrand the channels if they wanted to.
Disney Italy also launched a bazillion timeshifts (nobody needs a +2) and unnecessary sister channels, given how competitive the kids' TV market is in Italy, so Disney tried to get themselves more views with a bigger line-up. France and Italy also had more exaggerated and 'in your face' presentation than other countries because of the competitive market.More the UK, which started the trend back in 98
By now, the most profitable commercial operations have a +1, There
Then Italy which followed suit after Sky (mostly pay TV channels), only partly France
DC+1 in France started it, but there aren't many others
And the few others can be exclusive to some platforms such as Free (e.g. TF1+1)
