(Forward: This thread is for updates and discussions on the current state of Boomerang's Looney Tunes and Tom and Jerry blocks. If you want to see a better variety of shorts from these respective series on T.V., tell Boomerang through their email at support@boomerang.com and let them know that you want to see more variety.)
For several years now, Boomerang (and at times, Cartoon Network) has been circulating the same 300 or so classic Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies shorts on television. The shorts they air only span through 1943-1966, and 1979-1996. On rare occasions, such as Christmas 2014 or August 1st through 9th, 2016, they would air additional cartoons that were not part of the network's usual rotary. These airings included, but are not limited to, "Tom Turk and Daffy", "Gift Wrapped", "3 Ring Wing Ding", "Backwoods Bunny", "To Itch His Own", and "Aloha Hooey". However, the cartoons were promptly removed and the circulation reverted to its mundane state. Since then, variety in the Looney Tunes block has been virtually nonexistent. Several fans have been pleading the network to add more cartoons to the rotary, but to no avail.
The most that could be done to solve this issue, would be to send Cartoon Network an email via their feedback page here: http://www.cartoonnetwork.com/feedback , or by getting some type of petition to go around. Hopefully, Cartoon Network and Boomerang will for once in many years, actually listen to their audience. Any other thoughts anyone would like to add?
