São Paulo - SP, Brazil, December 2, 2004 (23 days remaining to the Christmas!).

Hello, friends from Toon Zone, Yesterdaylanders, Memory Laners and HB-fans from the whole world (and a special hello to Joseph & Jayne Barbera, Iwao Takamoto, David Kirschner, Buzz Potamkin, Fred Seibert, Robert Alvarez, Ed Benedict, Jerry Eisenberg, Bob Singer and all that people from Hanna-Barbera/Cartoon Network!).

Among the Christmas specials which Hanna-Barbera produced between the 70's and the 90's, which ones of them do you consider the best?
The specials are the following:

- A Christmas Story (1972)
- A Flintstone Christmas (1977)

- Casper's First Christmas (1979)
- Yogi's First Christmas (1980)

- Christmas Comes to Pac-Land (1982)
- Yogi Bear's All-Star Comedy Christmas Caper (1982)

- The Nutcracker Scooby (1984)
- The Jetsons' Christmas Carol (1985 [inspired on A Christmas Carol, written by Charles Dickens])
- The Little Troll Prince (1987)
- The Town Santa Forgot (1993)
- A Flintstone Family Christmas (1993 [Did you know that David Feiss {who created Cow and Chicken} did the storyboards from this special? Check on the final credits from this same special.])

- A Flintstones' Christmas Carol (1994 [inspired on the Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol])

Please, send your answers to this forum. I'll be thankful.
I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy 2005 from the bottom of my heart!
Ciao!

You left out The Nativity (1987) from H-B's Bible Heroes series (with Vincent Price as Herod).

Anyway, I choose Yogi's All-Star Christmas Caper (I have a tape of its 1984 broadcast on CBS on a prime-time double bill with Muppet Babies). I'm a sucker for the 'neglected child' plot. BTW, how did Fred and Barney manage to appear in the 20th century?

Hello, Anime Fan (from Great Britain)!

I think you're precipitated.
Yogi's First Christmas (1980) is included on the list. There's an illustrated reference of this special on this same list, which depicts Yogi, Cindy and Boo Boo together, aboard of the Santa Claus' sledge.
Perhaps this will help to refresh your memory.
This same special will be aired on this month, here in Brazil, via Boomerang (http://www.cartoonnetwork.com.br/boomerang or http://www.cartoonnetworkla.com/english/boomerang), inside the block that features various Christmas specials (great part of them were produced by Hanna-Barbera).
Well, that's it!
Ciao!

I'd say either Yogi's First Christmas or (ironic given the time era) the various Flintstones specials...

I'd say Yogi's First Christmas, The Jetsons' Christmas Carol and the various Flintstones specials are the best of the HB Christmas.

I think Casper's First Christmas is one of the worse things I've ever seen, it's to bad Cartoon Network in the US doesn't dig out Yogi Bear's All-Star Comedy Christmas Caper instead of it.

Hello, HB-fanatic Zumbido "Loopy de Loop" Metal!

You were complaining that Cartoon Network (USA) (http://www.cartoonnetwork.com) didn't rescued Yogi Bear's All-Star Comedy Christmas Caper (1982) to be aired to the channel, there on the USA.
But here in Brazil, Cartoon Network (http://www.cartoonnetwork.com.br or http://www.cartoonnetworkla.com/english) was broadcasting this special every year (until last year). And now, this special was transfered to Boomerang (http://www.cartoonnetwork.com.br/boomerang or http://www.cartoonnetworkla.com/english/boomerang), and this channel broadcasted yesterday this special, which has the following synopsis: Yogi escapes from Jellystone and hides out in a department store - posing as the store's Santa. Along the way, he helps a little girl to rediscover her faith in Christmas.
On this special, besides Yogi, Boo Boo and Ranger Smith, this special also brings a variety of Hanna-Barbera's classical characters (among them, Quick Draw McGraw, Augie Doggie, Doggie Daddy, Snooper, Blabber, Snagglepuss, Huckleberry Hound, Hokey Wolf and even a special appearance of Fred Flintstone and Barney Rubble!).
And here's the picture gallery of this special, just to remember it. Have some fun!

It worths a while remember this special.
Let's see if Cartoon Network (or Boomerang) rebroadcasts this special there in the USA, OK?
Well, that's it!
Ciao!

Yogi's First Christmas is the Christmas special to beat. It has hissable villians and everybody gets a happy ending.

I think I also have a soft spot for A Pac-Man Christmas.

And now for the first matchup of round 1. It's Alternate Universe Christmas Tales. The matchup is between the My Little Pony episode "A Hearth's Warming Tail" to the Sesame Street special "Once Upon A Sesame Street Christmas".

Ready for December and 2021 to come!
The Minions Holiday Special was barely a holiday special; just a clip show with some new holiday themed animation sprinkled in. At least they showcased one new Christmas short film. EDIT: Apparently the Christmas film wasn't new either; it was released last year.
