Yeah, let's not jump to any conclusions here. No one knows what will happen. I personally am going to hope for the best. That said, I'm not exactly a fan of them playing all of those reality shows from 5PM to, I think it's 4AM...

If I said that I was absolutely convinced that DISC-F will get better, that would be arrogant. On the one hand things don't look good at this point, but on the other, we shouldn't assume that this network is beyond saving either. That's all I was saying.

Assuming they don't run on Netflix beforehand, Superhero Summer Camp and Superhero Pets would be the channel's first-run animated series not from Hasbro in how many years? I think they were trading Zak Storm premieres with KidsClick and eventually Netflix.

Yeah, I already knew about this from Discovery Family's June Highlights. The show will be taking Bubu and the Little Owls' spot, making it exclusive to Qubo once again.

Toronto producer/distributor Boat Rocker Studios has closed six new broadcast deals for animated preschool series The Polos, which it co-produced with New York-based edutainment company MarcoPolo Learning. Boat Rocker sold the series to Discovery Family Channel (USA), where it will premiere in July. The distributor has also secured deals with Nat Geo Kids (pan-LatAm), Viacom 18 (India), CJ E&M (Korea), PCCW (Hong Kong), and Dreamia (Portugal).

The 52 x five-minute CG-animated show revolves around an inventive group of friends who explore the world through STEAM-centric road trips. The Polos is executive produced by Janice Burgess (Backyardigans).

The characters are also featured in MarcoPolo’s World School app, which wonthe Kidscreen Award Best Learning App in February.

I’ve noticed Discovery Family has been getting more animated series (whether from Hasbro or elsewhere) than they have in years past since rebranding from The Hub. With MLP in its last season, I’m wondering if they’re trying to find shows that can keep the channel afloat.
