i don't think so because as big a deal as alvin & SBSP are GF is an even bigger deal i mean disney has been promoting the GF finale for 2 or 3 months while nick hasn't even constantly promoted alvin & SBSP! it's like nick knows that even SBSP can't beat GF!

Nickelodeon started promoting the new SpongeBob episode 2 weeks ago which means when the new episode airs, Nick will have promoted it for a month. They are promoting it kind of frequently. ALVINNN!!! isn't being promoted at all.

Well, if that's the case, why put it on at that slot when you can easily slip it in at 8?

It's not that I don't think GF will get high ratings regardless, given the hype and devotion of the fanbase. It's just that I really don't want this to prevent the event from reaching it's max potential. Then again, there was one time Harvey Beaks and Adventure Time both aired new episodes at the same time and neither seemed to noticeably drop from it, so who knows.
