I do think there is a rebrand coming soon, what I think might be the case:

D23 had a logo with the Mickey Ears overtop Disney Channel with a wand within it.
Wand ID's are continuing with Wizards Beyond.

In a Discord i'm in, there are people guessing/hoping that September 23rd is the start of the rebrand because if you remember, the show-specific bumpers Disney Channel had got yoinked on what Disney Channel considers the 'first day of summer', around the same week Spacecation premiered and were replaced with temporary generic bumpers. That means that if Discney yoinked bumpers on the first day of summer... then their 'first day of Fall'... maybe a rebrand/new logo? (Disney Chanel is considering their first day of Fall as September 23rd)

Why September 23rd for a rebrand if Monstober is returning shortly after, you ask? Disney might want people to get used to the rebrand before they surprise everyone who isn't online all the time with a return to their Monstober branding for October/Halloween. (I am one who doesn't like the aesthetic for this year since it seems to be going more 2d)

I want to mention the possibility of what they are doing for the new logo/rebrand for bumpers/promos/etc, but i'll end my message here for now, IDK if there's a thread on this forum for a potential rebrand for Disney Channel specifically, I want to save my other things on that type of thread if that ever gets created.

You mean the one without the Mickey ears at all?

You do realize they need the Mickey ears somewhere on the logo, right? I know internationally, they use the logo without any use of Mickey ears, but in the US, they make wand ID's and they need the ears for that. Why would they still be making wand ID's for Wizards if the logo you want them to rebrand to has no Mickey Ears at all.

Someone on Twitter made a mockup of the logo they are possibly rebranding to and if i'm being honest, the D23 logo does fit and make sense if you don't include the wand inside the ears as well as the second pair of ears on the 'i'.

The D23 logo only looked cheap because of the lazy work of using the current logo, but I believe the reasoning behind that was to most likely to hide the fact that there was a rebrand coming at the time of the event happening.

Why do I not type happy with no exclamation points, you may ask? Well... they are using the mirror text effect for the upcoming rebrand. And you know what other network had this effect on their assets for a while?

I'll give you a hint:

Yea, this was not a good effect for TeenNick in my opinion, and it's not a good effect here for Disney Channel when it comes post-October.

Another reason I am not happy with this rebrand? Wand ID's will become omitted. The reason I say this is that the iconic Mickey Ears used as a staple of the wand id's for many years is being demoted... to a simple background asset to their rebranded promo graphics.

Wizards Beyond Waverly Place will most likely become one of the shows to have lost media in some capacity when the rebrand officially happens. (And there are behind-the-scenes images of the Wizards Beyond cast doing wand id's, even David Henrie said he's done his new wand id a few months ago, and we won't ever get to see it since they most definitely have the logo from the item age. I don't think David will ever see the final product either if they fully omit the wand id's)

Disney Channel started using their new branding today, the logo matching EMEA style. There's still some old branding stuff in promos. Monstober started so it's a kind of dual mixture going on. Not a fan of the Monstober bug , would be fine if it was there to start then went to just normal or just green, but the effect is annoying being on the screen the whole time.
