DC just tweeted this funny new commercial for the B:TAS figures....
Really brings back childhood memories for me of the old BTAS toy commercials from the '90s. :p Great stuff.

They really are amazing. A lot of companies would probably just tell you to go through their "Ask DC Collectibles" line, like everyone else, but, ever since they opened up that email line, their communication has been stellar, and they really do go above and beyond when it comes to communicating with fans. Plus, they still keep the "Ask DC Collectibles" Q+As going. Which brings me to my next point, in that it seems that they are going to expand into the other corners of the DCAU. Hopefully, we get some peeks at NYCC in October. Here's what they actually said:
Hey, hey, DC Collectors! Yes, it’s been a while since our last “Ask DC Collectibles,” but rumors of the column’s demise are greatly exaggerated. No, we’ve just been busy designing and developing next year’s amazing collectibles. However, we received a bunch of great comments on Facebook from our San Diego Comic-Con recap and wanted to respond to some of the questions. So let’s get to it!

With every “Ask DC Collectibles” column, we receive a bunch of favorite character requests. We get it and we always appreciate the feedback, but we also don’t like to spoil things too early, saving our reveals mostly for NY Toy Fair and San Diego Comic-Con. But we can tell you this: We will continue the Batman Animated Series line and it will lead into lines from other DC Animated series (specifically the ones with the same design aesthetic as The New Batman Adventures…but no spoilers!).

Still no Harley figure.

Has there been any news on BTAS figures at NYCC?

Weirdly, it seems like the Penguin figure is now available according to this youtube review:
From what I can see it's available on Amazon (from other sellers) and Toywiz.com.

I'm glad I didn't pick up the Batmobile over the holidays, as that Deluxe Edition looks really fantastic. I assume a few collectors are pretty miffed at the announcement, though. I did pick up the Batman/Phantasm two-pack now and I'm pretty pleased with the overall quality. The BTAS Batman doesn't look exactly how I think he should but it still looks rock solid. I find a lot of the BTAS/TNBA toys have been hit or miss but they've managed to really create some good toys, and this is coming from someone who never really bought toys until now.

Thanks for your info, Yojimbo. I've been following this thread for awhile. Looks like the releases that were scheduled for March 30 have been delayed. Any idea of when they might end up coming out?

EDIT: October solicits

-Batman Animated Series Prem Coll Nurse Harley Statue
December 7, $150
A Diamond Select Toys release! Hello, nurse! On the TV classic Batman: The Animated Series, Harley Quinn played dress-up almost as often as she wore her now-iconic jumpsuit. And this all-new 12-inch resin statue depicts one of her most memorable clothing swaps - a nurse's disguise! Nurse Harley blows a kiss to her next patient while wearing a short, white mini-dress and standing on a logo disk base. Limited to only 3,000 pieces, this statue comes packaged with a certificate of authenticity in a full-color window box. Sculpted by Clayburn Moore!
-DC Gallery JL Animated Black Canary PVC Figure
December 7, $45
A Diamond Select Toys release! The heroines of the DC Animated Universe are expanding their roster! As seen on Justice League Unlimited, this 9-inch scale PVC figure of the Black Canary depicts Dinah Lance unleashing a sonic scream at her opponent, wearing her classic, comic-inspired leather jacket and tights. Figure is in scale to all Gallery and Femme Fatales PVC figures, and comes packaged in a full-color window box. Sculpted by Varner Studios!
7/21: From today's DC Collectibles panel - the TNBA Catwoman and Riddler are on their way, a Batman expressions pack, and the already mentioned Superman and Lois STAS 2 pack.

8/19: There will be more Super Pets plushes - Bat Cow and Crackers & Giggles.

8/22: TNBA Riddler and Catwoman, BTAS Batman Expression pack, and Super Pets plushesBatcow, Crackers, and Giggles set for March 2017.

9/14: PR for Batman: The Animated Series View-Master VR Viewer.
OTOY is the perfect partner to create new VR content for View-Master,” said Mark Morse, Director Advanced Concepts at Mattel, in a press release. “They’re light-years ahead of the curve when it comes to their rendering capabilities. The Batman experience we previewed at San Diego Comic-Con was just a glimpse into the incredible things to come from this collaboration.”

The partnership with OTOY adds to the newly redesigned View-Master the capability to display ORBX media, a holographic content file and streaming format, which allows for cinematic quality immersion on mobile VR and AR devices.

The technology will be used to bring to life new virtual reality experiences based on fan-favorite episodes ofBatman: The Animated Series.

“The creative energy I put into OTOY goes all the way back to my childhood. Both Batman: The Animated Series and View-Master were fixtures during that part of my life. It’s a dream come true for me to have the chance to bring them together with Mattel and Warner Bros. Consumer Products and participate in the View-Master’s evolution to VR and beyond,” said Jules Urbach, founder and CEO of OTOY.

Kelly Gilmore, Senior Vice President, Global Toys, Warner Bros. Consumer Products, said: “We’re thrilled to partner with Mattel and OTOY on this exciting collaboration with Warner Bros. Animation that will give Batman fans around the world a chance to watch the stories and adventures of their favorite Super Hero in this all-new format.”

Batman: The Animated Series producer/director Bruce Timm and writer/producer Paul Dini collaborated with OTOY’s artists and engineers on the VR project. The original voice cast of Kevin Conroy (Batman), Mark Hamill (The Joker) Loren Lester (Robin) and Tara Strong (Batgirl) also reprised their roles, with the guidance of Batman: The Animated Series voice director Andrea Romano.

Sam Register, President, Warner Bros. Animation and Warner Digital Series, said: “We are extremely excited for our fans to be able to experience Batman: The Animated Series in a new and immersive way, through the innovation provided by OTOY, on Mattel’s View-Master platform.”

“OTOY’s OctaneRender and ORBX technology brings hyper-photorealistic VR experiences to mass consumer devices,” said Urbach. Artists using OTOY software have the tools to conjure the spectacular immersive worlds and easily share them with the world on platforms like The View-Master VR. We are extremely excited to make holographic storytelling, a thing of the present, not the future, in partnership with Mattel./
10/10: Funko will have Pop Heroes figures based on BTAS characters starting in November - 152: Batman, 153: Robin, 154: Batgirl, 155: Joker, 156: Harley, and 157: Poison Ivy.

10/17: Girls' Nite Out pack resolicited to February 2017.

12/19: The S:TAS Superman and Lois Lane two pack and B:TAS Batgirl are both set for July.
