Showtimes
June 8th: 7:00pm
June 9th: 5:00pm

A 'claymation' adventure from the creator of Wallace and Gromit, featuring chickens as the main characters. Ginger is the 'head chick', and she deviously plots to free all the chickens on the farm, preventing an otherwise certain 'Death By Chicken Pie'. After many failed attempts, she meets Rocky, the 'flying rooster', and decides that he holds the key to their freedom.

I always liked Wallis and Grommet mostly for it's subdued sillyness. While I did laugh at Chicken Run for it's allusions to The Great Escape and Star Trek, they seemed to be brief bits of laughter in an otherwise downbeat movie. Not worth a second viewing.

By that logic, FZ-GS-Online-person, a nice, big photo of Troy Percival and/or the Rally Monkey would go perfect in this topic, since the [then-]Anaheim Angels won the World Series in 2002.

I can never get enough of this movie. I dunno if it's the actual dialogue or just that they're all speaking British accents, which makes anything funnier, but just the same, always a fun watch.

[thehacker] War In Afriganistan began (by the order of Bush)

The first aerial bombing of the war in Afghanistan was October 7, 2001.

You still provide no explanation for how this or the bloody Fox Kids logo are in any way relevant to a talkback for Chicken Run.

Yeah so that Chicken Run movie sure is good, huh?

Really, it is. It's a quirky movie, but that's what Aardman and Co. do best. I've thoroughly enjoyed the film every time I've seen it.

I didn't watch the whole movie on CN. But I've seen it on DVD enough times to know it's a pretty good movie.

From the front page of AnimeSuperhero.com:

"Chicken Run Makes A Run Back To Theaters This November"

chickenrun.jpg

"The year was 2000. Aardman Animations had become THE stop-motion animation company through the international success of their Wallace and Gromit shorts. But they were about to launch their riskiest venture yet, something much bigger than 30-minute tales of screwball inventors or Chevron Car commercials. Their first full-length feature, produced in collaboration with Dreamworks, was about to hit theaters. Could they prove they were more than a one-trick pony?

They proved it and then some. Chicken Run was one of the most popular animated films of the year, grossing more than $100 million in North America and $225 million worldwide. Critics loved the film and audiences ate it up like hens at a feed. Roger Ebert called Chicken Run “magical” and said “this is a movie that uses animals as surrogates for our hopes and fears, and as the chickens run through one failed escape attempt after another, the charm of the movie wins us over.”

If you missed your chance to see Chicken Run at the dawn of this century (or…gulp…you weren’t even alive; shame on you for making me feel old by existing), Dreamworks and Universal have announced a limited theatrical re-release is happening next month. On November 9 and November 12, the chickens’ Great Escape will be projected across the country once more. Check your local listings for the showing nearest you."

I think i'm slowly getting used to 60FPS interpolation now that I have a TV with it
I still wish if Netflix should have added any CN shows that are removed from HBO Max... Still wish if they added like Summer Camp Island, etc. :(
