Welcome to middle east bro. Nonsense is our life
It’s known from before that they have kissing censorship, as it all happened from long time. Everyone have knew about it.

After Young Justice scene on CN Arabic, they started their censorship policies until it got strict after the CN MENA launch in 2016. In 2015, after they premiered Gumball episode on CN Arabic, The Shell, they censored the kiss at the end and zoomed the scene before the kissing before fading. If it was on another FTA channel, the ending will be shown with no kissing and just white fading to the transformation, but with zooming out towards the screen corner until this ends.

Man...I tried not to bring religion to avoid offending anyone and what are you doing?
(if it was me you would go nuts to point it out what I do wrong)

Anyway...we only change the translation sometimes but since EU laws require to respect LGBT we don't cut those parts
(But Russia...)
Why the anger?

I'm not going into religious details, as that would be a huge OT
Each religion can have its conservative and extreme sides, that's about what I was stating

But there's no need to get very sensitive

Totally love the idea of the description of this video!!!
Oh yeah. I didn’t know some Cartoon Network shows are being dubbed into Greek and I didn’t know that they receive localised text. It’s rare. It looks like if Cartoon Network had a independent Greek feed like Nickelodeon.

Too bad there has never been a CN in Greece, except for the poor attempt with subtitles : )
It's strange to watch that

Really surprising as some supposedly "western" markets are treated so poorly: mostly Finland and Greece

Well, at least a more "normal" feed for the area such as CN CEE in Greek

Than CN MENA, I mean

To be fair, I understand Finland due to population. While they have all the shows dubbed, adding a Finnish audio track isn't going to happen. It's not number one kids network. I'm fine if I can only watch shows in English but promos not mentioning timeslots makes me disappointed in them.

Do you think that Total Drama was subbed in Greek at one point? There was even listings of the show on Nova and CytaVision.

If it aired on a general Greek channel, of course. But that's IF. If listings indeed were available, it's safe to say the show aired.

Now not; I mean it should've been launch in the late 90s/early 00s, and hasn't happened

The population is partly true: it's similar to Denmark and Finland (around 5 milion people)

My guess is also the fact this area is harder to cater properly FOR THEM: it isn't Scandinavian (but it is at the same time), it isn't "eastern Europe", etc. The problem also DC and certain other channels had with Finland; being tied to "Scandinavia/Nordics", also receiving the same satellite platforms
Stuck in a strange limbo like Greece

The schedules for Greek channels are easy to find, even partly translated into English : )

Especially the ones coming from the Nova Greek satellite platform

While 5 million is a lot especially for a county that's 60 degrees north. Remember that Finland is 1300 miles long compared to Denmark which is like a tiny island if we compare the two. Denmark's climate is perfect imo. I'm surprised there aren't more people. Geographic seems a bit messy. I guess our climate is more Western than Eastern. That's why it's usually called as part of Western Europe.

Yeah, but Finland is also a wealthy country

Of course it poses more challenges than a bigger more populated country such as France and Germany (even the ones with a medium economy such as Italy and Spain), but it's doable
Similarly populated Denmark and Norway have dubbing in the local language

Of course not its own feed but at least CN Nordic, DC Scandinavia etc. translated into Finnish

But it is what it is, of course, not much can be done now aside from dubbing being available on streaming services : )

At least Disney does a good job by having Finnish audio track during shows. Took them until 2020s for that but better late than never. WBD should do the same with CN, if announcing costs you can keep the promos in English while have shows in Finnish when they are dubbed. That practically costs them nothing.

I think Cosmote TV operates a Cartoon Network service featuring Greek-dubbed CN shows, but I don't think they have Steven Universe at all (or even Steven Universe Future, for that matter)—all they seem to have are Ben 10 (2005), Ben 10 (2016), The Powerpuff Girls (2016), We Bare Bears, The Amazing World of Gumball, Adventure Time and some iteration of Ninjago. Also, I don't think any of the shows on there have localized text at all, either. Pretty sure that Steven Universe video was fanmade, since I don't think a Greek dub was ever made.

I would've liked to see Cartoon Network WE and Cartoonito WE get localized into Greek, since those feeds are much better for Greece/Cyprus than the MENA feeds.

Cartoonito MENAT, however, does have Greek audio on its MENA subfeed—promos and bumpers remain in English, while most shows (excluding no-dialogue cartoons and maybe also the older Mr. Bean: The Animated Series episodes) are dubbed into Greek.

Were did cartoon Network Nordic operate/broadcast before it merged?
It probably broadcast from the UK, but with a Czech license.

I believe ex-Turner channels have been Cloud based for a few time now

As for their decision department, I believe especially a Sweden studio was influential in its decisions; but a bit Denmark too, although likely Sweden more

The British team definitely wasn't involved, and likely hasn't been involved since the Scandinavian channel launch; albeit some "influences" from this were due

2016 to 2018 CN Nordic had a large percent of their own decisions and it was the last time they could so. They had very different promos no one else aired but their promos were quite odd and lazily edited. We had daily afternoon promos where they tell viewers what's coming on after school.

No winter versions of the "new episode + next" combos, as well as the Bakugan 2023 "next".

Kinda realised that i've used the "profile post" section like a horrible Twitter/X user and not as a main user. I've been posting more boring content that it is not related to cartoons (since duh, this forum is mostly dedicated to cartoon fans)
For my apology, please accept a 55 min. complation of Gumball out of context.
@BlooMac got the silver Youtube logo (100K subs). Let's celebrate with his 1st video and a Summer 2005 ident.
Even though it's not summer, the latter fits the vibes of celebration.
I wish the Academy Awards went through with nominating Moana 2 just for the chance of it becoming the funniest Oscars win.

The Los Angeles Dodgers, the defending World Series champions, are getting stronger with new roster additions.

This only serves to make them more valuable to a combined Charter/New Paramount entity in the future, which would in turn give the entity full ownership of the team's RSN.
